Look What The Lord Is Doing!

Wow! Look what God has done in me!

Saved my life and set me free!

Wow! Look what God is doing in me!

Creating someone new and full of possibility!

Oh look what God is doing in me!

He is making me into a little light.

To use to help others see The way in the night.

He is making me full of  love just like Him.

That He may use me to cheer hearts when things seem dismal and dim.

Oh look what  God is doing in me!

Giving me new life , hope, peace and joy for all the world to see!

Wow! Look what God has done, is doing in me!

So much to tell it all would take an eternity!

Small Potatoes

Small potatoes are very versatile. If you have a lot of them you can mash them together and make mash potatoes. You could boil them and make potato salad. You could roast them. Cut them up and put them in soups, stews, or casseroles. Their is a lot you can do with small potatoes. Sometimes I look at raw fresh potatoes that I cook and think "by its self and raw it isn't very much to look at." They are usually dirty and need to be washed. I don't like the taste of them raw; although I remember someone once said they liked it. It takes a cook to make something good out of  small potatoes. I guess all that I have said about small potatoes gives a clue as to how The phrase, "Small potatoes" got attached to people and things. In this sense small potatoes means: lowly, of no importance, plain, and other such things you would associate with a small raw potato. I have always been a small potato. But Jesus like a creative cook came into my life. He had a plan for what He wanted to do with me. Jeremiah 29:11 He  selected me and cleaned me up. Ephesians 1:3-14  He is cutting out any bad spots. Hebrews 4:12 He is softening me up. Colossians 3:12-17  He is  mashing me together with others. 1 Corinthians 6:12-13 He is adding salt for flavor. Matthew 5:13-16 Oil and milk to make me consistent. Psalm 133:1-3, 1 Peter 2:2 He is also adding a little meat to make me a more satisfying meal. Hebrews 5:14 When I was a small potato all by myself out in the field. I was lowly, plain, of no importance, hard,  useless, and turning bad. Matthew 13:36-43 If  He had left me there like all small potatoes I would have rotted away. Romans 6:23   I have often wished that I was not a small potato. But now I see a little more clearly and my heart has changed. I am content to be whatever God wants me to be. Big or small. I am amazed at how much He uses this small potato (me). I am also just now becoming aware that He has used me a lot of times with out my knowing it. The reason I didn't notice His using me at times is because He has used me in natural ways. He has made me a new person, creation. My life is so new that as I live in this newness it touches people for Jesus.  He uses the new me in so many ways that well, I am just not aware that I am being used. 2 Corinthian 5:17, Ephesians 2:10 I don't think I will complain about being a small potato any more.
