God has limitless power, resources, gifts, and authority. I want to be open to His displaying those through me. Not that any should think that I am great or wise, but that all should see the glory of God. So they will know they can do all things through Christ who strengthens them, according to His good will and purpose.

Limitless For God

Lord there seems to be no limit of your love for me.

Lord there seems to be no end to your provision as I can see.

Lord I want to be like you with no limit of love for others.

Lord I want to be like you endlessly providing for my sisters and brothers.

God give me a heart like yours, and the mind of Christ, fill me with your Spirit.

God please start opening doors, don't let me think twice but to walk on through, when you give a command help to obey and not fear it.

Don't let me say I am too small.

Or that I can't do that at all.

Because in you anything could be my call.

Because when I stay in you I don't have to be afraid of a fall.

For you are always there beside me, ready to heal and to guide me.

I ask you now my loving God to make me who you want me to be.

Christmas Cookies

One of my favorite cookie recipes at Christmas is the versatile cookie dough recipe. I like it because you start out with a basic sugar cookie dough. To that dough I can add chocolate chips, for a chocolate chip cookie, and if  with the chips I add nuts and raisins I have another kind of cookie. If  I add just coconut, rice crispies, and white chocolate chips I get yet another kind of cookie. The possibilities are limitless. I hope I am like that cookie dough in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit's hand. If  I claim to have only one talent or gift say singing, or being a prayer warrior, or having the gift of  prophecy or a gift of healing I am putting a limit on how God can use me. I like to say I don't know what my gift or talent is so all can be open to all gifts and talents. I want to step back and see what God will do with me and how He will use me. Like right now I know that I am no singer or prophet but, I do believe that if God wanted to use me that way He could. Public speaking is not my cup of  tea  because my knees would knock so loud no one would hear me but, again I believe if God wanted me to do that He would make me able. My possibilities are limitless when I am in the hands of God willing to do whatever He wants, and believing He can do whatever He wants with me.

But the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills. 1 Corinthians 12:11 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13 For I say, through the grace given me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. Romans 12:3  Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of  lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. James 1:17
