Wow! God who created everything lives in me! Me! Who is miss uncoordinated! Me who is all thumbs! I have creativity in me because He is in me and I am in Him. Lord let the creativity flow!

Father May I

Lord I am so excited as I awake to a new part of you in me!

I can hardly keep from rushing into the day!

I want to explore all the possibilities!

But I know that my over anxiousness can get in the way.

So I will stop and come to You and ask you to be my teacher and guide.

I will ask you to keep me close to you and help me flee from pride.

For all good gifts come from You, Your the author of creativity.

I long to be creative too but only as long as it pleases Thee.

Father can I try being creative at everything?

Give me boldness to try.

Father of  life, living water, well spring!

Fill me with your endless supply!

I'm so excited I could sing!

Thank You my Father, my King!

Thank You for every thing!

A Really Good Cook

To me a really good cook knows enough about basic recipe science that they can leave the recipe and be creative. I don't consider myself a really good cook, but I do like to try my hand every now and then at creative cooking. That way I learn what works, and how ingredients work together. The more I learn about this the more creative I can be. What I mean by recipe science is: everyone knows eggs, baking powder, baking soda and yeast are leavening agents. Also that combinations of spices make different international flavors like: chili powder, cumin, cilantro, makes Mexican dishes and soy sauce, ginger, and garlic make oriental dishes. Also that vinegar, soy sauce, or soda pop can be used in a marinade to tenderize meat. Sometimes I break away from specific measures, or I toss together my own spice combos. Being creative is so much fun! I like to think that I get my creativity from my Father. He is the authority on creativity. There is a lot I can learn from Him about creativity. Things like just do it, take time to step back every now and then and see that it is good, and much more. The authority of creativity abides in me and I in Him, therefore I have a measure of creativity in me. I think I will go explore it in more than just cooking. Who knows what I will discover?! I might be creative in all areas of my life, or maybe only in a few it will be fun to find out. I better stop and ask God for His Help and some boldness, and more faith, can't be very creative without that.
