Picking
Everyone wants to pick apart,
Emotions, mind, and heart.
They can't see that You came to make us whole again.
Help us Lord, hide us Lord, O when will the picking end.
Pick at some one with a word.
People pick at themselves I've heard.

Piece Of Cake
When I make a cake I mix the dry ingredients together in one bowl. Then I mix the wet ingredients together in another bowl. Then I pour the wet into the dry and mix them together. Sometimes when I am mixing the batter I think about how God has blended His ingredients into me. The Holy Spirit is constantly mixing and stirring in wisdom, understanding, and love. these are God's ingredients. They work wonderful together, but if they were separate they would be kind of like the dry cake ingredients with out the wet unusable. Also His ingredients are fruits of the Spirit, gifts of the Spirit, and faith. The wet ingredients wouldn't come out right with out the dry. God has blended so many ingredients in me I can no longer tell what all of them are. Also like all cakes the batter must be put in the oven to bake. I am in Jesus just like a cake in the oven. I don't know what I will be like until He takes me out and puts the finishing touches on. But I do know that while I am in Him I am being transformed. And I know as long as I stay in Him I will be a sweet aroma to the Father. I pray someday like a piece of cake I will be enjoyed by my maker.

But someone will say, "you have faith, and I have works." Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.
