How I live every moment of my life whether seen or unseen is important. If seen it is important because I represent Jesus and Christianity. If unseen it is important because that is where God is at work building my faith, hope, and character. I need to pray about the seen and unseen areas of my life. Then try to be my best for Jesus, he always sees.

A Prayer To Be A Good Witness

Here I am today O Lord.

Fill me with Your Spirit.

Makes my will with Yours in one accord.

Heal my ears that I  may hear it.

I want to be a good and faithful servant to You. 

Yes this is my desire.

To help others to know You too.

That together we may lift You higher and higher.

So others may see Your love and handy work in us.

And desire to know You too.

That others may join in our joyful chorus.

As they learn to put their trust and faith in You. Amen

What Will You Bring

When ever our church is going to have a pot blessing we all ask each other, "what will you bring." This is good because it keeps us united in our efforts. It helps us to fill in all the gaps and to bring things that work well together. Tonight I am going to have dinner with the women from our church. We are going to a restaurant. So today I am thinking what will I bring. And you are probably saying, "why bring food to a restaurant? Don't they already have food there?" Well yes they do. But what I am concerned about bringing is a good attitude, right fellowship, and right behavior. By this I mean I don't want to be part of, or start a gossip fest. I don't want to talk about gross or yucky stuff even in jest. I want to bring good words, and a good attitude. I want us to feast on God's love and our love for each other as sisters. I want us to bask in His presence and in each others friendships. I want us to be a witness to the goodness of God with out even trying because it is a natural part of us. How can I bring all this and more to this dinner. First of all by praying about this get together. Second by praying that God will help me to be my best for Him. Then I need to stay alert and aware of  my words, actions, reactions, and deeds. I must apply love to all this. You may think I am making a big deal over a casual, friendly, dinner. Your right. I believe every area of my life is important. It is important how I live my life moment by moment for Jesus, because people may be watching. I want to be a good representative of  Jesus and Christianity. Even if no one sees how I live, how I live is still important. Because when no one is looking my faith, hope, and character is being built and developed in Jesus. So I pray about what I will bring to each day. And when I know of  events that are going to take place like this dinner I pray about that. I even pray about visits to my friends. It's something to think about. What will I bring to a room of people, to the life of a friend, and so on and so forth. Will I be a good witness to God? Will I bring hope, love, encouragement, peace, and more? 

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer. Psalm 19:14 Therefore be followers of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma. Ephesians 5:1-2, For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light. (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), proving what is acceptable to the Lord.  Ephesians 5:8-10
