I must be careful not to feed upon bad emotions, words, or deeds of others. Even more not to feed those sort of things to my brothers. Help me Lord put a guard over my mind, spirit, heart, tongue, and all. That I may not cause others to stumble and that I may not fall. Amen.

A Congregation's Prayer

Lord help me to feed upon Your words and to meditate on Your ways.

Guard my heart and mind all my days.

Lord help me feed others Your words and show them Your ways.

Guard our hearts and minds all our days.

Make our lives full of You.

Make our lives whole and new.

Help us Lord to be faithful and true.

Lord our hearts desire is to follow You. Amen

You Are What You Eat

You are what you eat is pretty silly. Because I have a friend who can eat tons of fat food, and he is as skinny as a rail! Now I do believe that if a person eats a diet of junk food only they will have very poor health. I also think if a person eats healthy food they will have better health than the junk food eater. I believe that vitamins, healthy food and the lack there of can affect how some one feels, acts, and how healthy they are. Spiritually you are what you eat goes beyond what you read, watch, and listen to. I already told on one of my other web pages that yes they do affect you. But today I see that I must be careful of other spiritual things I eat too. Such as if I eat the seed of  anger that someone else is spitting out near me; I become anger and hurt. If  I eat the seeds of  self righteousness that a gossip spits out, I become a self righteous gossip too. If  I eat the seeds of  discontentment that another spits out, I become discontented too. So I must be careful to not eat the bad seeds that come from the mouths or emotions of others. Also I must be careful not to produce or put out any bad seeds for anyone else to feed upon. But this is not to say that we all can't feed each other good seeds. We can feed each other seeds of  peace, calm, contentment, understanding, love, and more. I guess I am what I eat. I also may be what other people eat so I better be careful. Think it strange to think people eat you? People in bible days may have thought it strange when Jesus says that He is the bread and that they should eat Him. But today on this side of the cross I understand a little better.

"I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world. The Jews therefore quarreled among themselves saying," How can this Man give us His flesh to eat?" John6:51-52,  So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I love You." He said to him, "feed My lambs." John21:15, Then they understood that He did not tell them to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and Sadducees. Matthew 16:12
