I want to grow and produce more fruit for God. To do this I must be willing
to submit to the Fathers pruning no matter how it will hurt. I am willing
Father have your way with me. Amen
My Life
Lord today into your hands I commit my life.
Lord today to your plans I submit my life.
Help me to grow strong like a tree in thee.
Prune me and shape as you would have me.
My God I trust in you to help me grow.
My Lord I trust you to help me stand when storm winds blow.
For you know me better than anyone else could know.
Only you Oh Lord can direct my path where my feet should go.
Lord today into your hands I commit my life.
Lord today to your plans I submit my life.
Pruning
Yesterday when I was pruning my plants, the Holy spirit was talking
to me about the pruning being done in my life. When I prune a plant I cut
just past the old growth down to where the young growth is. This means
that little tiny leaves are now left exposed. When the heavenly Father
prunes me it's a lot like that. He takes all the old stuff I have
learned and clears it away exposing all the new growth I have in Him. It
doesn't mean the old stuff is no good it just means it is past it's season.
Well some of it may have been not good, just like plants my life gets it's
share of spots or blemishes. It is necessary that I cut away the old growth
so the plant can gain strength and get healthy. That holds true for me
also, when the old stuff is taken away I get stronger and healthier. This
is due to the fact that as I let go of the old I stretch and grow
toward the new. My mind gets refreshed as I reach for the new things I
am learning in Jesus. Pruning of some of apple trees help them to
produce more and better fruit. As the Father prunes me I trust it will
cause me to produce more and better fruit. Pruning some of my plants low
to the ground helped them survive the frost last year. When the Father
prunes me I trust it will help me survive harsh storms in my life.
With Jesus as the vine feeding me His branch, The Father pruning
me, and the Holy spirit teaching me, I should be one strong healthy plant.
But only if I stay submitted and committed to Them.
