Don't let spiritual issues pile up. Deal with them firmly and don't waver or be wishy washy.

A Daily Prayer

Lord help me build on solid ground.

I call to You My God and savior.

Early while You may yet be found.

O Lord if with You I have found favor.

Lord take my hand and help me stand.

Write your word upon my heart.

Help me obey all You command.

Help me to be firm and from Your ways not depart. Amen.

The Shed

We have a shed in our backyard. All winter long  I have been cleaning and organizing each room of our house. So everything that I didn't want to throw away, and didn't fit in with my organizing plan, got thrown into the shed. In our shed we already had stored gardening gear, camping gear, canning gear, and a host of other stuff that is not normally stored in a house. Well now I can hardly get into the shed. This means now I have to clean it. This is teaching me a good lesson. To take the time sort through and get rid of stuff as you clean. Don't just pitch it somewhere to sort out later. Right now the shed looks like an overwhelming job. But I will attack it a little at a time. I also came up with the idea that maybe before I bring any more stuff into our home I will toss something out. Or I will ask do we really need it? Do we really want it? Do I want to clean it? Where will I keep it? I am not a shed but I am a house (temple of the Holy Spirit). I too could get quickly filled with garbage. I need to take time to sort through and get rid of stuff as it comes my way. Being wishy washy is like throwing stuff into a shed (back burner of my mind and life). Things get piled up because I don't take a firm stance right way. Also because I am not consistent in my stance. Like how can I say a certain type of movie or joke is ok one time and not the next? Or allow my self to watch or listen to something one time and not the next?  It is because I have not firmly dealt with the issue. By not firmly dealing with an issue I have to deal with it again and again as I grow in Jesus. So if  I have a lot of issues like this they start to pile up and my shed (back burner of life) becomes full and I have to clean it out and put it back in order (alignment with Jesus). issues not firmly dealt with could later cause me to back slide if left unchecked. And I am afraid to open the shed door because what I see may be too overwhelming. But I also know that if  I have Jesus there with me when I open up and face these issues He will help me. Thank God I don't have to clean up my spiritual shed alone! And with Him I know it can be done, and I pray His will be done. Amen!

Therefore whoever hears these saying of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock.; and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. Now everyone who hears these saying of  Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand; and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was it's fall. Matthew 7:24-27, This next verse is to give strength to those who want to clean out their shed. seek the Lord while he may yet be found, call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, and He will have mercy on Him; and our God, for He will abundantly pardon. For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:6-9, My word that goes forth from my mouth; shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:11
