I need to see the Adam side of me and the Jesus side of me. So I can know how to pray and fight for victory. To see this I must look. In the bible God's holy book.

Help Me To See

Help me Lord to see,

Both sides of me.

The side like Adam tainted with sin.

The side like You that puts sin to an end.

Help me Lord to see,

Both sides of me.

That faith may grow and victory may flow.

That love and peace and mercy may show.

Help me Lord to see,

Both sides of  me.

And help others to see it to.

That they may see what You can do.

That they may put the trust and hope in You.

And love You and praise You as I do. Amen

Look In The Mirror

When I go camping I don't look in the mirror as often as I do at home. Also the mirrors I use when camping are usually poorly lit and not very good. So I must really look a sight at times! Today I was thinking about worry. I asked God to give me understanding about it. Part of what He gave me had to do with His mirror (His word the bible). He reminded me that I look in His mirror and sometimes when I walk away from it I forget who I am. James 1:23-24 He also reminded me that although I am now a child of  God; I am not totally free of my Adam nature (old self that falls short). Which I am constantly working on being rid of. Colossians 3:9-10 He told me that worry is a lack of faith and the Adam side of me is no excuse or liscens to worry. But, He also told me not to beat myself up over it. He said I was to use it to remind me of my need for Him. To use it to remind me that He is still in control and as a reminder to pray for more faith. He went on to tell me that when I look in His mirror (His word the bible) I should see both who I was and in part still am (the Adam side of  me), and who I am becoming (the Jesus side of me). Romans 5:1-21, Romans 6:1-14, Galatians 2:20 By examining myself in His mirror (His word) daily with the aid of prayer and the Holy Spirit, I will see more clearly the Adam side of me and the Jesus side of me. That will help me to know how to pray better and how to fight better against my Adam side of me. And will help the Jesus side of me to grow. This is so exciting to me! I look forward to great victories and new growth in my life! His mirror (His word the bible) will remind me: that He is my deliverer, that He is faithful, trustworthy, and true; and so much more. It will also remind me: that I can do nothing of myself, that I need Him daily, that through Him I can over come. That in Him I am free, safe, whole, and forgiven. By looking in His Mirror (His word the bible) every day with the Holy Spirit and prayer I will gain understanding, wisdom, faith, strength, and power to live as He would have me to. This doesn't mean I wont worry, be fearful, doubt, or sin any more, it means as I grow in Him and in faith I will do all these things a less and less. And yes someday I shall awake in His likeness and do them no more. 1 John 2:28-29, 1 John 3:1-3 Psalm 17:15
