Unwelcome

Don't you just hate the feeling of being unwelcome? I hate being somewhere where I'm not wanted. I also hate the feeling of my words and deeds being unwelcome. You know,  like when you give some advice from experience in order to save someone some pain. And they welcome it as much as a wet blanket. I never realized it but this is sometimes how I have treated God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Especially when I want to see quicker results, think things would be done better another way. Or when I plain old don't want to hear advice that sounds too hard. The Holy Spirit like Jesus and God won't go against my free will. They speak to me then silently and lovingly stand by as if to say "you decide". What a thing for them to say. "You decide" if you believe us, if you trust us, if you will listen to us and obey. At times their saying "you decide" is as welcome as a wet blanket. I am sure that rich fellow Jesus told to sell everything and follow Him felt that way; as Jesus gave him the loving "you decide" look. How many times I must grieve the Holy Spirit when I'd drag my feet and disobey because I was afraid of failure or looking foolish. Or when I hesitate to talk things over with Him because I might not want to hear what He might say. Here and now I am determined this will change. I am going to do all I can and with all my heart, and strength to show God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit  that they are very welcome in my life. I love them, I want them around, I need them.

Today I you hear His voice do not harden your hearts. Hebrews 3:7-8,  Like  Jesus said if you love Him obey His commands .John 14:21
