Shoulder to shoulder we press on toward the Goal.

Singing and shouting, "Bless the Lord O my soul!"

What a mighty team we are.

A most awesome army by far.

In faith and boldness we will go.

Where ever God sends us to face the foe.

In truth and obedience we will fight.

For all that is good and godly and right.

Freeing souls from the darkest night.

Helping the blind to receive their sight.

We desire to win the lost.

No matter what the cost.

For we see the victory that awaits us in the end.

Satan will surely fall never to rise again.

Sides

When I was growing up I hated it when it came time to pick sides. I was one of many kids that never got picked for one reason or another. No one ever made anybody a captain of a team, and then said, "Ok everyone choose your captain." Captains of teams who got to do the choosing would pick people they liked. And sometimes people who were great players. Sometimes some of both. Anyway I usually got picked last. Well not picked placed on the team that needed the extra player. Usually to the protest of the captain and other players. Even if a I could have picked a captain back then; probably would have picked for the wrong reasons. I probably would have picked by looks, popularity, or some other shallow reason. When I should have picked because of  character and skill. Oh how good it feels to be chosen! John 15:16 How good it is to know that the captain still wants you even if you aren't very good. 1 John 1:9 I am talking about Jesus (captain) and the game of life. When a captain is good and well loved a player will play their heart out for him. When a captain is good he will encourage the players not only to work together, but to care about one another too. John 13:34 And when you get into a big serious adult game like  pro football nothing is left to chance. You have a coach and a manager. The coach sees to it that the players know the game and plays inside and out. He sees that they are fit and ready. My coach for the serious game called life is the Holy Spirit. John 14:26 A manager is one who provides for the teams, and watches over the team and their well being. An owner has final say about a team the teams existence depends on Him. God is my manager and my owner as well. Revelation 1:8 John 1:3  The team I am on is the Christian team. It is made up of  people who have accepted Jesus and are following Him. We are playing against the devils team. It is made up of people who wont accept Jesus. Our goal is to get as many people to join our team as we can. Mark 16: 15-16 Even by snatching them off  of  the other team. Jude 23 The game of life has been going on for a long time. The first scrimmage was in Eden (Genesis 4) The last play will be when all things are reconciled to God and satan and his team is crushed. (1 John 5:1-5)  (Revelation 20:7-10)  We win! Revelation 21:1-27, Revelation 22:1-5
