The devil is out to do more than bust up earthly homes. He is out to bust up the family of God as well. But greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world.

Hold On Family

 Hold on to God and each other.

Hold on family.

Hold on to God and one another.

Hold on and see,

That by doing this, 

you resist, the devil and he will flee.

Hold on, Hold on, family.

This is a song for every day families we see.

But this is also a song for our church family.

For the devil seek not to destroy only earthly families.

The devil also wishes to destroy God's family made up of you and me.

So let's hold on each other and our Lord.

Let's stand against the devil in one accord.

The Same Old Song

Their is a line in a song that goes like this: "It's the same old song but with a different beat but it still goes on." Well breaking up families is the same old song of the devil. He finds little ways to bring division and arguments into the home. Family spats start out small over some little thing. Then before one knows it words are said that can't be retrieved. Sometimes the devil slips in with discontentment, or causes doubt. You've seen all his tricks they are in the bible. Anyway His goal is to bust up families. And he will stop at nothing! He will even use children to do it. But the devil has been trying to bust up families all through the bible. Just look at all the brothers that he turned against one another, and husbands, wives, and children. But there is another picture that doesn't get seen much because he veils our eyes to it. That is how he (the devil) tries to separate the family of God. He uses the same old tricks he has always used. He breeds discontentment, doubt, lack of trust. He stirs up bitter words, envy, lust, and anything else he can to set Christian brothers and sisters against each other. He tries to separate spiritual moms, and dads from their spiritual children. And He tries to use Christian brothers an sisters physical children to bust up the family of God too. By causing Christian brothers and sisters to turn on each other. Let's start pulling the cover off our eyes and see what is really happening. Maybe then we can start pulling the shell off our hearts and forgive quicker. Maybe then we can gain more self-control and stop the devil from getting his way. Let's do all we can to save the physical family units (real homes) and the spiritual family units. (the church family). One way to start is in my own home and church. The best way to start is on my knees asking and looking to God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit for guidance and wisdom in this matter.

Be sober be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by our brotherhood in the world. But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. To Him be the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen 1 Peter 5:8-11 Actually 1 Peter 5:5-11 should be read  because the battle to save the family be it a real home or church is not supposed to be fought by the adults alone. The children have to be taught how to fight the battle too. So they too can stop the devil from having his way.
