If  I want an example of  what a good father is, all I have to do is look at my Heavenly Father. If  I am in need of a father, I need look no further than Him.

Father And Child

My Father you chose me for no reason at all.

You daily encourage me when I feel to small.

You give me strength and boldness to answer your call.

When I sing to You, You pick me up and twirl me around.

You wipe away my tears when I fall down.

Your always ready to give me guidance so sound.

You never leave or forsake me.

What can I do for thee?

I pray I will be a joy and a blessing to you.

I pray I will quickly do all you tell me to do.

I can't buy salvation this is true.

I only want to obey because I love you too.

Fathers

I never knew my real father. I saw a picture of  him once but I don't remember what he looks like. I don't know when or why he left my mother. I know my uncle who raised me loved me even though, there was some pretty bad things happening in our house as I grew up. He went from a guy who would come home from work who was happy to see me running to greet him; into a scary man I hardly knew. Now I can see the changes that took place in him. I also can what brought about those changes. I am glad God has healed my heart through understanding and given me a heart of  forgiveness and compassion toward my father, and my uncle. But God has blessed me beyond that. Because of  Jesus God's Son I now know a Father who never changes. I have a Father who will always love me. A Father whom I can trust to do what is best for me. One I know will guide me in the way that is right. I know He will always be there with me and for me when I fall, or am in trouble, or when I am sick. He will be there for all my birthdays, joyful occasions, and I don't even have to have a reason He will be there. What can I do for such a wonderful loving Father? I hope I obey Him quickly in all things. I try to talk with Him and spend time with Him daily. I want to tell Him how much I love Him and sing about His awesomeness daily and tell Him and everybody else how wonderful He is. There is no way I can ever repay such a wonderful Father. Yet He chose me for no apparent reason and all He wants is my love and obedience. Suddenly I lack words of  what more to say about my Father because He is so much more than I have words to describe.

And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of  His Son, into your hearts, crying out Abba, Father!" Galatians 4:6  Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! Psalm 34:8
