I am headed for the promise land! I have a vision, a hope, and a purpose!
Song Of A Pioneer
I am headed for the promised land.
The Lord and The holy Spirit are my guide.
No matter what I encounter I can stand.
With the weapons God gave me and them by my side.
My heart is yearning for my new homestead.
For there in heaven there will be no sorrow or fear or dread.
As I journey I have all I need.
And a vision and a hope to keep me going.
All along the way I plant some seeds.
Saying do you know Jesus? then come along with me.
I tell them about the place where I long to be.
About my love Jesus whom I long to see.
I hope the seeds keep on growing.
Pioneer Stock
I really like the movie "How the west was won". I like to think I came from good pioneer stock. When pioneers started moving across the country toward the west they had to be strong, brave, and able to not give up when the going got rough. To reach there destination they had to have a vision, a hope, and a good guide. Pioneers had to take supplies, weapons, and water. They had to be careful that their wagons weren't over loaded, and if they were as soon as the going got rough they had to lighten their load. Pioneers got attacked by Indians, disease, and pest. If they did not have a great desire to make a new home in the new land they would not have made it and even then some of them didn't make it. My walk with God is a lot like this. I am a pioneer heading from this world to the promise land God has told me about in His word. I have a burning desire to reach this promise land. I am strong because He is my strength. I staked a claim in my homestead when I accepted Jesus. That was also when my journey began. He has given me a vision and a hope. The Father sent the Holy Spirit to be my guide. He supplies all my needs. He has armed me against attacks I may encounter. He supplies me with water. Sometimes I take on more than I can handle and have to lighten my load, He helps me with that too. I get attacked by satan, my mind, my flesh and the world. I believe I will make it to the promise land. I thought some of my brothers and sisters would make it too, but I have seen a couple fall by the way side. Even so I still hope they get up and try again. The Kingdom of God is worth whatever it takes to get there, He has promised to wipe away every tear.
