How I view sin determines the effort I will put forth to rid myself of it. Example if I say I told a little white lie and laughed and shrugged it off I don't see it as a deadly. The wages of sin is death and sin is sin big or small. to take one lightly leaves the door open for bigger ones. Holy Spirit help me to not be insensitive to sin. Don't allow my mind and conscience to be seared. Help me to be aware of sin even small ones so I can fight the good fight and run a good race. In Jesus Name Amen.
Make A Stand
When I stumble and when I fall I don't let it make me undone.
To my Lord in repentance I call in His forgiveness I have won.
The devil hounds me, my mind tell me a lie, they tell me because I sin I must die.
But neither fools me no matter how much they try.
My Savior paid the price me so to Him will I cry.
I am a winner when I heed the Lord's word.
I am a winner when the Holy Spirit is obeyed and heard.
I am a winner when I when I accept the Father, Son's, and Holy Spirit's helping hand.
I am a winner when in them I stand.
Germ Warfare
Today on the market are tons of products that claim to kill germs. As for me I still like old tried and true methods. When I clean the wet areas such as the kitchen and bath room I like to use bleach and Lysol. I am glad that now I can get scented versions of these. For the rest of the house I use baking soda, vinegar, dish soap, Arm and Hammer laundry soap and pledge. Sometimes when I am frivolous I get lemon scented pine sol. Keeping a clean house is the best way to fight germs, this is very important in cold and flew season. I like to keep a spray bottle with a mixture of bleach and water for cleaning counter tops. I spray and wipe after each use. I also believe washing my hands a lot helps fight germs too. I consider fighting sin kind of like fighting germ warfare. I need a strong detergent ( The blood of Jesus) to kill the germ ( sin). Some products on the market only mask the germs with a clean scent. Insincere repentance does the same thing. I also need to be alert and diligent in cleaning the worst germ harboring areas the kitchen and the bath room. This is true of my heart (like the kitchen it is where things are prepared), and of my mind (this is a place where I view and groom myself ). For example I need to clean my heart every day to prepare it for the Holy Spirit to live in. I need to Read my bible to get a clean mirror so I can get a clear view of my self. I need to clean up my attitude (This old tub I call me) so I can receive help from the Holy Spirit. I constantly have to flush and scrub bad thoughts from my mind. After I clean my house I usually look around and find places I miss. Well I need the Holy spirit to look with me and find places spiritually too. At home I do the house work so I fight germs alone. Spiritually thanks be to God I don't fight spiritual germs alone the Holy spirit helps me. There are other germs the Holy Spirit shows me to watch out for too. They are: anger, complaining, ridicule, gossip, manipulation, and a host of others. This fight goes on all day every day. But thanks be to God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit I can be "clean for the day " and that makes me feel like a "queen for the day". Well at least like a happy child of the King.
Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil, learn to do good; seek justice, rebuke the oppressor; defend the fatherless, plead for the widow. Isaiah 1:16-17, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, Titus 3:5-6 And from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. Revelation 1:5-6, And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord. Acts 22:16
