God lives in me so I want this His house to honor Him. I also want this His house to display His glory. Inside and out to be full of praise, glory, and honor to God forever. Amen.
Glorified
I long to be Your house glorified.
I long to display Your glory that You may be magnified.
I long to be a house that honors You.
May it show forth in all that I do.
I long to be a house where you joyfully dwell.
I long for Your glory to be seen in me very well.
I long to glorify You all day long.
I want to fill each day with worship and song.
I want You glory to not one be upon me.
That's why I want to bring others to thee.
I long for Your glory to be every where.
You are my God and no one or nothing can your throne share.
To You Oh God be all glory, honor, and praise.
May I bring you glory, honor, and praise forever and in all ways.
A Glorified House
I have seen some glorified houses. To the world that would mean houses with ornate lattice trim, fancy porch decks, fancy doors with crystal cut windows, and fancy shutters. This is all outward glorification. Inside there would be shiny wood floors with fancy inlays, spiral stair cases, sunken bath tub/spa, and a kitchen any world famous chef would adore. This is all inward glorification. But what about this temple, this house that the Holy Spirit dwells in? Is it glorified? What does it really mean? According to Unger's Bible dictionary glorify means: To make glorious or honorable, or cause to appear so. The bringing of Christians to a heavenly condition and dignity. To show forth His praise by obedience to His law. I don't want this temple, His house to just appear glorified, I want it to be so. I don't want it glorified so that any should notice me but that others would see Him. Also I want to honor Him and I want others to honor Him too. By Him I really mean (God, Jesus, The Holy Spirit). When I accepted Him He promised to dwell in me. So I am His house. How can this house be glorified or made glorious for Him. Well one thing as with any house the owner (Jesus) has to do it according to how He wants it. So I have to totally give it over to Him. Also because I too live here and want it totally His way because I love His ways, I must put some elbow grease in (work) to make it that way. This means He is in charge and my elbow grease goes to work. Elbow grease in this case to me means: Prayer, praise, bible study, talking to God through out the day, being quick to repent, and with all my might trying to do what's right and turning away from what's wrong and by producing much fruit. I want God's glory to be upon this (me) His house. That means when God is living in mean His Glory fills this temple His house. The glory of God is seen in me as love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. These are inward and outward signs of God's glory. My praise and worship can only speak of His glory and yet it glorifies Him. But the things I just mentioned display it. The more Christ like I become the more His glory is displayed and the more His house is glorified. The more I obey Him the more this becomes so. Making me a glorified house. Meaning a house honoring God and showing forth His glory.
If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4:11, But he who glories, let him glory in the Lord. 2 Corinthians 10:17, By this My Father is glorified that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. John 15:8, Whoever offers praise glorifies Me; and to him who orders his conduct aright I will show the salvation of God. Psalm 50:23, For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. 1 Corinthians 6:20
