Spiritual seasons come and seasons go. Jesus is Lord of the seasons.
Jesus Lord Of The Seasons
Jesus You are Lord of all.
Yes You are Lord of winter, spring, summer, and fall.
Your Lord of the Sabbath, Yes of everything.
Lord of everyone.
God's one and only Son.
Lord of lords and King of kings.
My winters are warm safe and secure.
For as I put my faith in You I know I can endure.
My spring is alive and fresh and new.
As I am bow down and recommit my life to You.
My summer is full of warmth, life, and light.
As You fill me with Your goodness, Your power, and Your might.
My fall is full of such bountiful things.
As I see and display the fruits of my king.
To Lord of my Life and of everything.
Thanksgiving and praises to Thee I sing.
Let The Sun In
Every day I love to open up the curtains and let the sunshine in. I would do it all summer but that would make the house hot! I love letting in all that light though. In the winter it is nice to have the warmth and the light. In my Christian life I love to open up and let the Son in (Jesus). The wonderful news about letting Him in, is that it doesn't matter what season of life your in His light and warmth is always welcome. He is the Lord of the seasons in my life. When I let the Son in He fills me to over flowing at those times I shine forth His wisdom, overflow with praise, and others see Him in me. At those times I am so full of light, warmth, and life it is like summer! When I let the Son in and I become a help and blessing to others and even bring someone to Jesus or help them know Him in a more real way it is harvest time! At these times others and me as well are reaping the good work God is doing in me. It must be Fall full of the richness of God's produce. When I let the Son in and experience new growth in Him as a Christian, and I refresh others, and help them grow well it must be spring! At these times I receive a refreshing and a refilling of the Holy Spirit in my life. I also usually renew my dedication and commitment to the Lord and resubmit my life to Him. When I let the Son in and I experience a warmth and intimacy and discover a new maturity in my Christian walk I realize it is winter. At these times my faith is strengthened as I go through trials, illnesses, sorrows, chastising, and other faith building experiences. These seasons come and go I never really know when to expect them or how often, but one thing I do know is Jesus is Lord of them all. Just as each physical season is never totally with out the sun, neither is any spiritual season with out the Son. Jesus is truly Lord of the Sabbath, harvest, seasons, and my life. He is Lord of everything and everyone. In spiritual life I pray I never close the curtain. I want to throw the curtains open wide and let the Son in.
He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. 1 John5:12, As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. Colossians 2:6-10
