Lord let Your glory come upon me and in me that all may come to know You and give You praise and thanks. Amen

Glory

Lord pour out Your glory on Your church today.

That all may be bathed in Your light I pray.

Lord pour out Your glory on my home today.

That all who come here may feel Your presence I pray.

Lord pour out Your glory on me today.

That others will come to know You in a more real way I pray.

Lord fill the church with Your glory now.

We ask for more of You as we bow.

Lord fill my home with Your glory now.

We ask You to dwell with us as we bow.

Lord fill me with Your glory now.

I ask to be more like You as I bow.

Glory In My Home

No I am not going to talk about an old furniture polish called glory. I hope the fact that I know of and have used that furniture polish doesn't date me. No I am not an old dinosaur yet. I am currently reading Jack Hayford's book "Glory On Your House". It's a wonderful book about having God's glory not only come upon your house but in your house and around it as well. I am reading it very slowly because I am incorporating a lot of it into my life. As I started reading it I thought about  my house (not the trailer I live in) the house that God is still working on (me). A lot of what Mr. Hayford says in his book could apply to me (the temple, dwelling place of the Holy Spirit). So I prayed that God's glory would rest upon and dwell in me. I prayed this because I believe the more saturated I am in the Lord the more people will see Him and know He is real and be drawn to Him. To have the Glory of the Lord upon me or in me wont make me better than anyone else. Matter of fact it will make me more of an available, humble, servant. When God's glory is present who can help but bow. When God's glory is present it makes me want to worship, and serve Him more. It causes me to be in awe of Him. No if God's glory is present on me and in me there is no way I can think more highly of myself than I ought. In His glory and in His light I see myself as I am and am laid low in shame. Yet because Of  what Jesus has afforded me on the cross my head is lifted up and my sins are gone. My salvation also leaves no room for thinking more highly of myself than I ought. I pray that as God answers my prayer and pours out His glory on me and in me it will be like Moses face a shining evidence of  the fact that we can have a real relationship with God. I pray it will reflect Him and draw others to Him. I want nothing for myself when I ask for God's glory. I ask for it in hopes that others will come to know Jesus as their personal savior and friend. That they will know God as an awesome God who loves us as a Father and more. That they will know the Holy Spirit who is so real I walk and talk with Him everyday and wouldn't want to be with out Him. Yes I want His glory on and in my trailer, my church, and me that all may find God and a relationship with Him.

That he who glories let him glory in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 1:31, Arise shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and the deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you, the gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising. Isaiah 60:1-3 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16
