May my spiritual life be like Moses physical life may my spiritual eyes not grow dim and may my spiritual vigor not abate. Amen

Joy Of Life

What a blessing Lord to grow in You!

What a blessing to get to know You too!

When I am in You there is nothing I can't do!

When You are in me there is nothing I can't get through!

I'm so happy You are always here!

I'm so happy You have blessed me with an ear to hear!

I'm so happy when I listen to You. I have nothing to fear!

I'm  so happy to obey the One I love so dear!

Life with You is joy to me!

Life with You has set me free!

Life with You gives peace that others can see!

Life with You is what I want for all eternity!

Growth Spurts

Babies drink milk and grow, grow, grow! It is amazing how soon they start babbling, crawling, and eventually walking and talking. Then as young children they eat solid food grow, grow, grow! It is awesome to watch as they start school each year going from falala playing on to more serious stuff, going from all arms and legs to more mature bodies. Then as teenagers they tend to love junk food but they still grow, grow, grow! It is fascinating to watch them develop into the men and women they will be, men and women who will take our place. All this growing is part of the plan for their life. Some will be doctors, lawyers, store managers and more; doing  things that people of that profession do. Some will be nurses, secretaries, housewives and more; doing things that people of their profession do. Christians start out drinking the milk of the word (the basics) then they too grow. They bubble over with fresh new zeal for God, they crawl as they grow in faith, soon they are speaking in a heavenly language, walking strengthened in faith. Then as young children they start to chew on the meat of the word (deeper things) as the Holy Spirit leads them in the school of life. It's usually a very exciting time as they grasp on to loving God with all their might and their neighbor as themselves, and many other basic concepts that the bible teaches. Then Christians come to the teenage years. I don't know why but at this point they are bombarded with every piece of  Christian garbage there is ( wacked out Christian literature, false teachings, etcetera). At this point some go on to mature into the men and women of  God that they are intended to be and some get led so far astray they are dead or dieing and don't know it. The ones that go on to mature become more Christ like. Some are called to be pastors, missionaries, worship leaders, teachers, and more. They are filled and led by the Spirit to do what God has planned for them. They will continue to grow and move in that plan until the Lord takes them home. They looked at Jesus and His examples and they try to do as He did. As their relationship with Him grows they continue to look to Him and the Holy Spirit for guidance as to what to say and do. But they do something! Like in physical life comes old age. In physical life some people stay spry, alert, and have a zest for life; and some just give up and complain and the zest for life is gone. Older Christians are the same way. Some keep their first love new alive and fresh, they are alert ready to serve the Lord and others; some are burned out, dull, do the bare basics to stay spiritually alive. All this from Spiritual birth to going home to be with Jesus is see by children the next generation coming up behind us. What must they think? We can help them by talking to them about our relationship with God, by making Him more real to them, and by helping them apply His ways to their lives. I don't want to just set a good example, I want to keep the lines of  communication open, I want to help them taste and see that God is good, not just today but forever! Life and love and growing with God doesn't grow dim with ageing it gets fuller, better, and more exciting!

For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand (elsewhere). Psalm 84:10, How lovely is Your tabernacle, O Lord of host! My soul longs, yes, even faints for the courts of the Lord; My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. Psalm 84:1
