Every day I need to do spiritual laundry. I can't do it alone I am not able to do it alone. Thanks be to God that He and Jesus and the Holy Spirit helps me! Thank You Lord also for the bible, prayer, praise, and people you send my way to help me! What a good God You are! Amen!

A Spiritual Laundry Prayer/ Song

Lord help me sort out the things I don't understand.

I put all my confusion in Your hands.

Lord help me wash away thoughts that are not good.

Help my mind to stay on You as it should.

Lord apply Your cleansing soap to me.

Forgive me, cleanse, me from sin set me free.

Lord soften my heart and make it useful to You.

Soften me with love and understanding for others too.

Lord dry all my tears and heal me body, mind, and soul.

Father place me in Your sweet Son's light and make me whole.

Take me in Your arms dear Father and fold me according to Your will.

Hide me away inside of You cause me to be still.

That I may hear You say at the end of this wash day.

Well done my little servant girl it's time to rest today.

Time To Do The Wash Again

I am one of those people who was taught Monday is laundry. So every Monday I do all my laundry. Some times when we go on trips I have to do some laundry just before the trip; depending on when we are packing and leaving. I am not fond of doing laundry because it cause me to have to stop what I am doing off and on all day to tend to it. But to be clean, healthy, and presentable it has to be done. It is the same way in my Christian walk. I am busy living life, situations arise and I cant see to get a grip on the right thing to do or say. So I have to stop and do my spiritual laundry. (And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Romans 12:2). I have to talk to God about it all. Then sometimes I go look in the bible for something that relates to the situation so I can get some insight. Some times the Lord and the Holy Spirit blesses me by having me remember scripture or stories in the bible that relate. God often speaks to my heart about what is going on. The Holy Spirit usually prompts me to know right and wrong. Sometimes in my daily bible study the answers just leap out at me. I also need to wash and renew my mind when I have stinking thinking. (Bad or wrong thoughts). I need to do spiritual laundry every day as I make mistakes. I need Jesus to cleanse me and give me filthy rag that I am. ( Come now, and let us reason together, says the Lord, though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.) My mind, body, soul, needs constant cleaning. The only way I can keep up with this daily laundry is to stay close to God in prayer and to daily study and apply his word. Also by staying humble; with a heart that is ready to repent when I realize I have done wrong. I have to seek God every day about everything I do. I have to be alert and aware of what I am saying and doing; examining it all. The closer I stay to God and His word the more I find this possible. It seems like I hear the Holy Spirit more. This is not a liscens to pick on my self. This is about being alert, aware, and responsible about who I am and what I do and say in Jesus. It's about Him and I co-operating to mold me in His image. It's not about me trying to beat myself into His image. Jesus and the Holy Spirit are teaching me how to sort the laundry, and about soap, bleach, softeners, drying, ironing, dry cleaning, spot cleaning and permanent press. I wont explain these at this time. I will leave it for you to talk to God about. There are some really good applications for these.
