Obeying God and doing what He puts before me to do each day should keep me busy enough to keep me out of trouble, and keep me from getting others into trouble too. It's when I get distracted and side tracked that trouble finds me. Help me Lord to stay on track and when I slip forgive me and bring me back. Amen

Determination To Serve

Things are happening all around.

To idols and worldly woes I won't bow down.

But to You only Lord will I bend my knee.

I will pray for Your will to be done daily.

I will pray for all men.

That they will know You as Savior and friend.

That You would give them wisdom and love.

That they would obey You as You guide them from above.

I pray for the sick, the needy, and poor.

I pray for the lost and my neighbors next door.

I pray as Your Spirit leads me to.

I place all things in Your hands because I trust You.

Father have mercy on me to.

Help me hear and obey You.

Come and set my heart to right.

Fill me with Your Spirit morning, noon, and night Amen

House Rules

When I was growing up we had certain rules around our house. Rules like: "Put things away as soon as your done with them." Or "Leave a room better than you found it." And lots of other rules. Like a lot of young people I didn't like some of the rules. Like "No play until your home work is done." And yes the "No dessert until you finish your vegetables." As I said, there were lots of rules, you probably know most of them so I wont list them here. Today I see the good of some of the rules and still use them. Most rules help things to run smoothly and safely, and they save me from extra work or trouble later. Rules, limitations, order, and schedules use to frustrate and anger me, now they make me feel secure and at peace. I don't feel so at loose ends or up in the air when I have rules, limitations, order, and schedules. I guess it's because I know what to expect and what is expected of me. I guess that is why I am not to undone by what is happening with the elections. Every day the Lord allows me to wake up I have set things to do. I have to pray not only about the situations at hand but about our country, my family, friends, church, and more. I know that I have to do the things the Lord sets before me each day. As a housewife those things are taking care of my husband, family, home, doing right by my neighbors and friends. As a Christian I spend time with God, I study His word, and do things He leads me to do. Things like visit, call, encourage, help people, reach out to the lost and more. Jesus has a plan for my life, He rules and sets rules in my life. He sets limitations to help me and guide me, He orders my steps daily, He helps me plan my tentative schedules. I am glad He is involved in every part of my life. It keeps me from running after the world, it keeps me from fretting and trying to do things on my own. Sure I get concerned about things and feel helpless when I can do nothing to change things or make things better. Then God reminds me of one of the things on my to do list that is powerful; I can pray. He doesn't ask me to speculate, or second guess, or worry, or stir others to do those things. He calls me to pray, encourage, up lift, comfort, and help. I have enough to do trying to obey God all day, and do the things that He places before me. God is in control and I trust Him that's why if  I hear of a problem I pray about it and leave it there and go on about the things my Father has for me to do. For me there is peace in this.

Matthew 6:25-32 tells us don't worry about needs. Matthew 6:33-34 tells us Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you. Then He takes it a step further as in don't worry about things you can't do anything about. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about it's own things, sufficient for the day is it's own trouble. Live in obedience to God.  In Timothy 2:1-4 it says pray for all men. 1 Corinthians 7:24 Brethren, let each one remain with God in that calling in which he was called. Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
