A Happy Song About God's Light

I saw the light slowly dawn in my heart.

It chased the darkness away.

It came when You said we would never part.

You gave me a new life that day.

I am so glad for the light I walk in.

It helps me to grow and keeps me from sin.

I am so grateful when I see the light of Your glory shine so bright.

I see it when I praise You morning, noon, and night.

I see the light of Your love bright as day.

I see it at prayer time as You call, "beloved with Me come away."

I never want to loose Your precious light.

I want to share it with others, so please cause it in me to shine bright.

It gives me hope and good cheer.

It takes away anxiety and fear.

I know when my eyes close and from this world I pass.

That I will awake in Your glorious light that will for ever last.

There will be no more night for me.

I will rejoice in Your light for all eternity.

The "Star Spangled Banner", was written by a man anxiously looking by dawns early light, to see a sign that would give him hope and cheer his heart. Our country's flag, a sign of home, freedom, hope, liberty, and more. My husband drives a school bus and sometimes I am up a little before dawn. But I like to look out the window by dawns early light watch the bus drivers prepping their buses. I also watch as the school campus starts to come alive like one waking up from sleep. There is something about watching this that gives me a sense of peace and it cheers my heart. It is a good time to pray for the school,  the bus drivers, and the students. It's a good time to pray for their safety, freedom, hope, liberty, home life, unity, and more. There is another dawns early light I am thankful for; the day the light of Jesus first dawned in my life. He brought me hope, life, liberty, freedom, He cheered my heart, gave me a home and more. How blessed the whole world was when Jesus was born! How blessed we are when we finally recognize and receive that blessed light in our lives! It reminds me of these scriptures that I love: Arise, Shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. Isaiah 60:1, Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16, For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of the light. Ephesians 5:8 This is the message which we declare to you, that God is light and in Him there is no darkness at all. 1 John 1:5, But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. 1John 1:7, All this talk of light makes me want to go light up my Christmas tree. Yes I have one! I love Christmas trees because there is so much about them to remind me of  Jesus and His love. Kind of like every time I iron my husbands shirts I think about him and it makes me smile and feel warm inside. I like anything and everything that makes me think about God, Jesus, and the Holy spirit too. I am grateful for daily reminders every day about God and His Son shining in and upon me. And being reminded I am not alone, but the Holy Spirit is with me too; shining a light onto my path. I still have times of dawns early light spiritually as I am a slow learner and so slowly wisdom and understanding comes upon me as God sheds light into my life. I am grateful for those times and times of basking in the full light of His glory. Oh yes there are those times too! But that's another story.
