No child should grow up with out hearing about or knowing Jesus. 

A Prayer For Children

There are poor and starving children who don't know Your name.

Help me feed them Lord and light with in them Your Spirit's flame.

I pray the children will lead their parents to Your well.

Help me plant Your seed for them to take where they dwell.

Don't let me neglect to give them the best gift I hold so dear.

Help me to give You to children all through out the year.

Draw the children close to You.

Give them the strength to bring their parents to You too.

A child is a child no matter how big or how small.

And they all need to know You and hear Your call.

Use me to teach them and do all I can do.

Lord use me to reach them for You. Amen

Save The Children

Save the children is a very good organization that does just that. People send them donations and they use that to get what they need to feed them and more. There are a few good groups out there that do this. Foursquare lets you adopt a child through them for $25.00 a month. You don't get to bring the child to live in your house but, you do get a letter from the child and other news about them and what your money did to help them. Like I said there are some good organizations out there and there are some bad, so do careful research. In my spiritual walk I have an opportunity to save some children close to home. There are lots of children in the United States that have parents who haven't accepted Jesus or even know Jesus. This means the children are not being told about Jesus by their mom and dad. It also means that they may be getting a warped image from the world about Jesus. Christmas is a great time of year to approach children and tell them about Jesus. I want to tell children about Jesus all year long but, there are times like Christmas, Easter, and other holidays that open up opportunities too. Like Valentines day after all Jesus is about love. Veterans day Jesus is about forgiveness and peace. Fourth of July Jesus is about freedom. Any way I pray the Lord will guide me all through out the year; and give me many opportunities to reach children and tell them about Jesus. Who knows the children I reach may lead their parents to Jesus. As I walk through stores I pray He gives me comments about Him that will plant seeds in children's hearts. Some stores have great props such as manger scenes, stars, angels, ever greens, and more. I would love to give some poor unfortunate child the gift of Jesus this year. It would be a valuable gift that could last a life time!

And a little child shall lead them. Isaiah 11:6, And whoever gives one of these little ones a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward. Matthew 10:42
