God's light my life. May I walk in His Light rightly. And May it bring Him Glory. Amen.
Gratitude
Fill me with the oil of the Holy Spirit and Your word to keep Your lamp within me Shining bright.
Fill me to overflowing until all have seen and heard Your glorious victory over the darkest night.
That all may see this poor soul You have saved.
How in my darkest hour I surrendered to You and was kept from the grave.
Help them to see that in me is Your light.
When I pass from here I wont fear being left in the darkness of night.
For when I lay down to sleep Your light with me does stay.
And when I awake it will shine forever like day.
I thank You dear Lord for the light by which I live.
It guides me to repentance that asks You to forgive.
It leads me in Your paths and shows me how to walk in Your way.
It warns me of evil and brings me back when I stray.
I pray it brings You glory and forever shines bright!
Thank You for Your wonderful light! Amen
Keep The Light On
When I was a child sometimes I would watch scary movies. Then when I would go to bed I would keep the light on in my room. Some how I felt safer that way and I wanted to see what was coming. A lot of good that would have done me. I suppose as a child I thought the light would keep the bad things away. Today I have a light that has real power. That is the light that God has given me and placed in my heart. His light will not go out; unless I neglect it or abuse it. To maintain it I need to fuel it every day with prayer, bible study, praise, and spending time with God. Like I said this light can be abused too. I must be careful not to twist God's words around to suit me. I must be careful to use God's word to love and help others not harm them. I must be careful to not play Power ranger with God's word. By this I mean go out on witch hunts, or demon or devil searches, so I can blast them with God's word cloaking my puffed up pride or bravery. God gave me His light so I can see more clearly, so I can gain understanding, so I can help others and myself to follow Him and walk in His ways. He gave me His light to help me see the truth and to help me push back darkness where ever I am. He is the source of the light I have and He is the light and He is in the light and I am in Him so I am in the light too. I can do nothing with out Him. With out Him I can not keep the light going. With out Him I can not use it properly. With out Him I can not push back the darkness, fight demons, witches or anything else. With out Him there is still light because His light is eternal. But with out Him I can have no part of it, nor can I use it. I can't fully explain God's light, just like I can't fully explain Him because to do so would put them in a box and limit them; and I just can't do that! But I will say this about His light it helps me discern good and bad, right and wrong; and helps me to know when evil is present. It shines upon my thoughts, and in my heart to help me to choose and do right. But only if I use it or let it. It hopefully shines through me for others to see too. In hopes that they can see God's good works and fruits in me and to help me get back on track when I stray. There is so much to learn about the light of God. I mostly pray I learn how to really and truthfully live in it. Amen.
The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1, Oh, send out Your light and Your truth! Let them lead me; let them bring me to Your holy hill and to Your tabernacle. Psalm 43:3, Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. Psalm 119:105, Let Your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16, For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God. John 3:20-21, I have come as a light into the world that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness. John 12:46, For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), proving what is acceptable to the Lord. Ephesians 5:8-9
