A Prayer/ Song For Strength

Lord You have been so merciful to me.

Sending me people to love me and help me to see.

Sending me comfort in times of stress and strife.

Strengthening me all through out my life.

For You are all I need.

Help me Your voice to heed.

Now I pray that in return I may strengthen weak hands and feeble knees.

So fill me with Your Spirit, love and wisdom please.

So that I may touch them with love and guide them to You.

That I may pray effectively and do all I can do.

That I may be a comfort, a joy, and a blessing.

That closer to You we may keep pressing.

For You are all I  need.

Help me Your voice to heed.

Now together we pray to strengthen the church along the way.

Help us to love and care for our brother.

Help us to always be there for one another.

Keep us united in Spirit and truth.

Renew us and our strength as that of a youth.

For You are all we need.

Help the church Your voice to heed.

Now we pray to be more like You every day.

Help us to shine Your light upon all who come our way.

That they may turn to You.

That their weak hands and feeble knees may be strengthen too.

For You are all we need.

Help us Your voice to heed. Amen

Weak At The Knees

There are things that can make me weak at the knees, such as God, my husbands kiss, and fear. I get weak at the knees when I am called to speak before a group of people. I get weak at the knees when God calls me to speak during a church service, and sometimes when He gives me special things to do. I get weak at the knees when I am facing trials, testing, and when I feel overwhelmed. The bible tells me that I am to strengthen the feeble or weak hands and knees of others. (Isaiah 35:3) (Hebrews 12:12) But how? By telling them to be strong and not fear! (Isaiah 35:4)Encouragement. By telling them God will save them. (Isaiah 35:4) Reminding them to turn to God for help. And praying with them. (1 Peter 5:10) By telling them to wait on the Lord and that He will strengthen them. (Psalm 27:14) Reminding the not to be hasty, to calm down, be patient and listen and look for God's instruction. By reminding them to hold on to God's promises. ( Isaiah 40:31,41:10) (Psalm 119:28) By encouraging them to be strengthen in the Lord. (Zechariah 10:12) Reminding them who is their source. That God has everything they need to get through whatever. By strengthening their faith. (Luke 22:32) Reminding them of other times God has brought them and you through difficult times. By giving support. (Daniel 11:1) This can be physical, verbal, and spiritual support. By strengthening the inner man. (Ephesians 3:16) through prayer for him, praying with him, encouraging them, and by helping him stay close to God. By reminding them that they are not alone the Holy Spirit is their to help them and so are you. and by reminding them that they are loved and that they are God's anointed children. And by feeding on God's word with them. (Psalm 104:15) Helping them to keep being filled with the Holy Spirit. Don't toss scripture at them, but search scripture for answers and promises with them. By helping them seek wisdom. (Ecclesiastes 7:19) Reminding them to think things through, to ask God for wisdom, to seek help of others who are qualified and by sharing any good Godly wisdom that you may have. Remember the church is a body too and may become weak at the knees. So remember to strengthen the church as a whole too. (Acts 18:23) This is what I have learned thus far about strengthening weak hands and feeble knees. I am sure the Lord will teach me more about this as time goes by.
