Lord protect me from spiritual blackout and use me to help others to receive Your light. Amen

Seeking The Holy Spirit And Thanking Him For His Help

Holy Spirit come and fill me today.

Forgive me if  I have grieved You in any way.

I need You every hour.

Come fill me with wisdom, love, understanding, and power.

Help me to do all I can to stand and to strengthen others feeble knees and weak hands. 

Put upon me the heavenly armor and equip me to obey all God's commands.

I thank You Holy Spirit for Your patience with me.

I give thanks each time I hear Your voice and am lead by thee.

I thank You for filling my heart with praise.

For teaching me God's word and ways. amen

Lights Out

California is having blackouts due to lack of  money to buy fuel to produce electricity. When the  black outs started happening I began to suddenly realize how much depends on electricity. If  the whole state of California was to have a blackout everyone in the state would suffer the same fate. Unless they had a back up source like generators but even that wouldn't solve all their problems. So many people would still have a lot in common. In Christian life a person can have a blackout. This happens when they become unplugged from their power source which is God. People who never accept Jesus will have a blackout all their life. This kind of blackout causes people to be blind to truth. Such as what real unconditional love is, or the fact that without God they are dead, or who their real enemy is and more. People in a spiritual black out can get the power turned back on by plugging back in. (Accepting Jesus and repenting). Some people are blessed to be in a church, and fellowshipping with other Christians. (These can be like generators). They can help get the light turned back on, by encouraging, praying, being patient, correcting in love, and helping in other ways. But whether I am a plugged in Christian, or a Christian trying to help someone get plugged in, or even an unplugged Christian I will receive no power until the Holy Spirit has come upon me. So I can shine no light of Jesus with out the power of the Holy Spirit. That is why I must daily ask for the Holy Spirit to come fill me. I must be careful not to grieve Him away, and if  I do I must repent and ask Him to please come back. I hope I never have a spiritual blackout. But if  I ever do I pray God will send someone to help me get plugged back in and I pray that I will heed them. When there are spiritual blackouts many people suffer not just the one in the blackout. There are many people in the world today in spiritual blackout. This is why there is so much evil, violence, and yuck in the world. This is one reason why I should be ready and alert all the time to plug someone back in. (Help them come to Jesus).

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. Acts 1:8, And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Ephesians 4:30 The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, upon them a light has shined. Isaiah 9:2 For you were once darkness but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of the light. Ephesians 5:8, For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12, Brethren if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins. James 5:19-20
