I want my heart to be filled with thanks to God all day. I don't want it to stop there, I want it to show in all I do and say. Amen

A Prayer/ Song Of Thanks

Thank You Lord for keeping me through the night.

Thank You Lord for this mornings light.

Thank You for the food we eat.

Thank You for the people we greet.

Thank You for the things I have before me to do.

Thank You for all my abilities too.

Thank You for all You provide.

Thank You for filling me with Your Spirit and love inside.

Thank You for all the plans You have for me.

Thank You for saving me and setting me free.

Thank You for always being willing to forgive.

Thank You for teaching me how to live.

Thanks to You for all these things and so much more.

Thanks, glory, honor, and praise to You whom I adore. Amen

Thank You Notes

My husbands family has a little tradition. Right after Christmas they have a race to see who can send their thank you notes out first. They also try to see who can send their thank you notes out the quickest after birthdays and any other times they get gifts. Also they usually try to mention every gift they got, why they liked it, and what they will do with it. These are not quick or empty thank you notes! I think his mom must have started it to get her children to write thank you notes. The bible says God has written His words in our hearts. God is a two way God when it comes to communication. So I believe I can write words to His heart also. And just as He does with out pen and paper. So I want to practice every day sending Him thank you notes that will touch His heart. All day there is so much to thank Him for. I don't want to get lazy or neglectful about thanking God. Also I don't want to just spit out a quick empty thank you. The bible says that David was a man after God's own heart. I know that part of that was because David was obedient, he loved God with all his might, and he honored God through praise and worship. Thanks can come in many forms. It can come in words of gratitude, obedience, love, respect, honoring, and more. Thanks to the story of  David and others in the bible I really do believe I can touch the heart of  God. Not with a wrong motive or attitude though. But with a child like one. With an attitude of  wow! This is my Father and I love Him so much! He is so good to me and I want so much to please Him and thank Him for everything.

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations. Psalm 100:4-5, Giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5:20, Oh come, let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the Lord is the great God, and the great King above all gods. Psalm 95:1-3
