It is time to check my foundation, sturdy up my walls, see if I am still following the Master's plan, and see if  I am still working with the Master Builder.

Checking With The Master Builder

Lord help me look deep inside my heart.

Lord help me to see if from Your side I start to depart.

Keep me from straying away.

Help me examine what I do and say.

O Lord guide me in all I say and do.

Let me not rush on ahead of You.

Help me examine the inner man.

That he may be built according to Your plan. Amen

Remodeling

My bathroom is being remodeled. Yesterday the workers ripped everything out. When they did they found the structure underneath needed to be repaired, and wall studs needed replacing. They told me, "you never know what you will find that needs replacing until you look underneath." I thought about this and my walk with God. Sometimes I forget to check on my foundation and what I have built upon it. Have I shifted off my foundation (Jesus) a little? Am I still checking His plan (The Bible) for instructions on how to build? Do I bring building problems to Him? Am I still working with Him? Allowing Him to be the Master builder? Am I procrastinating? Am I becoming lazy? Any way these are things I thought about and more. The only way I will know is if  I examine what is underneath (inside). This means that I should take time to reflect and examine the inner me. That means checking to see if my attitude is right. Are my motives good. Ask myself  what do I believe? Why? Do I still feel as strongly in my spiritual convictions as I once did? Am I taking my walk with God for granted? Do I daily seek Him? Am I still growing in Him? All these questions and more are flooding me even now. It is good to go and strengthen ones timbers, and see if one is slipping off their foundation. When I finish this session of remodeling I pray I will come out the other side of it looking more like Jesus. I want to come turn out the way He would have me to be.

Examine your self 1 Corinthian 11:27-32, Galatians 6:3-5, As a man thinks in his heart so he is. Proverb23:7, Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Prove yourselves. Do you not know that Jesus Christ is in you?--- Unless you are disqualified. 2 Corinthians 13:5, Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance, of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. Hebrews 10: 22-23 I put this verse of Hebrews here because how can I know anything and hold fast if  I  don't examine my heart?
