A note to myself. Don't put enjoying life off for when you have more time. You may never have more time. Don't wait until you find out you have a fatal illness. And don't wait to enjoy life when you get to heaven! Your suppose to be walking in the Kingdom now! Life, especially your new life in Christ Jesus is a precious gift meant to be enjoyed every day!

A Daily Prayer Of Thanks

I am giving You thanks for today.

For all that comes my way.

Be it good or bad.

Happy or sad.

It let's me know I am living life.

It shows Your with me in joy and strife.

So I praise You God for today.

I give thanks for Your love and care along the way.

Whether I am happy or sad.

good or bad.

And even when I stray.

I am grateful with me You stay. Amen

Tomorrow, Tomorrow

No I am not going to to talk about the song from the movie "Annie". What I am going to talk about is: why wait until I find  that I have a terminal illness, before I start to really live. I have read many a story about someone finding they have caner or some other terminal illness, and suddenly they do things they would never do other wise. Like oh I am going to die soon so I better pack in a lot of fun before I go. Then you hear that they go on a trip to the Caribbean, or they really do stop to smell roses and enjoy sunsets, etcetera. I have also heard people say, "well my life may be hard here but in heaven it will be great no more crying etcetera." I say why wait! I believe that I should enjoy life now. God not only gave me life from my mothers womb, but He gave me a brand new life when I accepted Him! Wow now that is a second chance at life! That is when one should really start enjoying life! Packing in all the fun, awe, mystery, and wonder of it! Just like God life is not off in some distant future or some other place. God and life is right here today to be cherished and enjoyed. If  I am not enjoying life then I believe it is due the devil stealing my joy. I don't have to stand for that. I also believe that is because I am not taking the time to. My choice. Also because I have forgotten that I am living in God's kingdom already. I hope I don't do that! Or that I have taken my gift of salvation lightly or for granted! I pray I never do that! I love birthday cake. Each day to me is kind of like a huge slice of birthday cake the kind with the thick sweet sugary frosting. I open my eyes and there it is a new day like a new slice of cake! And I run up to it like a little girl all giggly and start to eat, and I get a rush out of it (sugar rush) no a (Joy of walking with and living in Jesus rush). I also start shoveling it out to my friends that they may be all giggly and enjoy it too! Don't delay seek God and live in His kingdom today! Do what is good and right. He will take care of the rest. Don't worry about tomorrow, today has enough stuff of it's own to enjoy or cope with. This is how I  read Matthew 6:33-34, God has given me a rich, full, wonderful, life and I must not be haughty about it. Nor should I  trust in that richness, but rather I should trust in God who gave it to me. For it is He who gives me richly all good, right, and Godly things to enjoy. This is how I read  1 Timothy 6:17 I know that this last scripture is talking about rich people the type with money. But you see this is why each time I read scripture it becomes new and fresh to me. Because the Holy Spirit shows me different ways to apply it that relates to where I am today. How do I know it is the Holy Spirit? Because He never teaches or shows me any thing that goes against God, any evil ways, He teaches me truth and to love my neighbor as myself and to love God above all.
