There is no excuse for me to not spend time with God or serve Him.

Over Comers Prayer

I need to walk and talk with You each day.

Help me over come each obstacle that comes my way.

When I am busy with my hands give me a hymn to sing.

When I am with people help me to pray about everything.

When my mind, body, and emotions would hinder me.

Come Lord Jesus and give me victory. Amen

Obstacle Course 

Phew! am I thick headed or what! I was waiting a long time today to hear from God what to write about. It seemed like all sorts of stuff was getting in the way. Even as I write this I am enduring an eye problem that affects my vision. Then I realized that God wanted me to talk about the daily spiritual obstacle course I run each day. As I serve God each day, and try to walk with Him,  listen to Him, and talk with Him I run into obstacles. My spouse distracts me (it's not his fault). Someone comes to the door and or the phone rings so I am distracted again (it's not their fault). I am a busy house wife that distracts me too (it's not my fault). My mind distracts me with thoughts of my past, things to do, and stuff. My emotions distract me such as anger, worry, and other negatives. My flesh distracts me with hunger and other needs. What am I to do?! Well thanks be to God I am learning a solution. About my spouse I pray for him, and with him, and serve him as best I can. That is a way of serving God, talking to Him, and God is in the midst of  us. About the person at the door or on the phone I pray for them and try to do unto them as God would have me do. That is a way of serving God, talking to Him, and He is in our midst. As for the obstacles dealing with my mind, emotions, and flesh I bring them to God in prayer, I seek to obey God by bringing them under His control. That too is a way of serving God. Plus what better time to talk and walk and listen to God than when I am in the midst of these obstacles. About the busy housewife obstacle I can sing, praise, give thanks, talk to God, and be the best housewife I can be. This too is a way of serving God, and talking and walking with Him; because it invites Him into all I do and say. So I can over come all obstacles that would keep me from praying, listening, walking and talking with God.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written "For your sake we are killed all day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter." Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:35-39
