If  I was on trial accused of being a Christian would I be convicted?

A Prayer To God For Help And Guidance

Lord You alone know my heart.

Come and help me search it.

If needs be break it and help me get a new start.

I want to be filled with Your Spirit.

Don't let me quit until I know what's true.

Help me to face things and not run away.

I know I can become more like You.

But only if You guide me every day.

Help me to bring to You the things I can not bear to see.

Help me to repent right away.

Yours totally and forever I long to be.

Reflecting You more each day.

My hearts desire is for others to know You.

To turn to You with their whole heart.

My hearts desire is for me to obey You too.

And from Your ways never to depart. Amen

Guilty As Charged

The scene a courtroom. On trial me. "Do you believe in Jesus, and that He died for you, paid the price for you, and is alive and setting at the right hand of God even now?"  My response, "I do."  "Do you believe He can heal you, do you believe that if you die you will awaken from death to see Him and be with Him forever?" My response, "I do." "Do you believe God's word the bible?" My response, "I do." "Now let's see if there is any evidence against her." "Do you pray?" My response, "Yes." "Has anyone seen you pray?" My response, "Yes." "Do you read the bible, go to church, sing hymns?" My response, "Yes."  "Judge this is not enough to convict her! Thousands of people do these things and don't mean it. It's just part of their up bringing. They do it out of habit." "Have you done any random acts of  kindness?" My response, "Yes." "This too is meaningless judge lately people from all kinds of beliefs have been doing this. It's a karma thing I think." "Have you tried to get others to believe in this person Jesus?" My response, "Yes." "Now that judge may help convict her. Surely she isn't going to try to convince people of something she doesn't believe in would she?" "But judge does she try to convince believers or non believers?" Judge say's, "What do you mean ?" Lawyer's response, "Does she talk about Jesus just to other Christians? After all she is around them a lot. Or does she actually try to tell non Christians about Jesus?" "Have you ever spoke to non believers about Jesus?" My response, "Yes." "Did anyone see you do it?" My response ,"Yes." As you can see it would take a lot to convict someone of  being a Christian. If  I was being charged with being a Christian; could I say guilty as charged? After reading all this would you say I am guilty of being a Christian? If no what more do you think it would take? I would hope that the world would accuse me of being a Christian. The bottom line is their is one judge I can not hide from, that is God. He sees the heart, mind, spirit, soul, everything! He is all knowing. Am I a Christian in His eyes? I pray so. I believe I am. One thing that will help me know is to search my heart. Will I find faith, truth, and sincerity there? Will I find God there at it's center? Am I trying to convince the world, God, or me that I am a Christian? I pray that I really am and the world , God , and me will know it and see it. Amen

But the Lord said to Samuel, "Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart." 1 Samuel 16:7, But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels. to the general assembly and church of the first born who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of  Abel. Hebrews 12:22-24, I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. 2Timothy 4:1-2
