It's important to pay attention to the health of my physical heart. But is is more important to pay attention to my Spiritual heart.
A Joyful Song Unto The Lord
You keep my heart beating strong.
You teach me right from wrong.
You fill my heart with song in the middle of the night.
Yes in the midst of the darkest night You fill it with light.
You nourish my heart with Your word each day.
You exercise it with prayer and You guide it along the way.
You fill my heart to over flowing with Your Spirit so bright.
Oh how I wish everyone would see Your glorious sight!
Thank You Lord for this heart You placed in me!
Thank You Lord for keeping it for all eternity!
I'm so glad my heart trust in You!
It's Yours forever to do with whatever You want to do!
O God how I love You!
Heart Health
Today more people are taking an interest in having a healthy heart. This is important not only for well being but for life as well. It can even affect people around me; because wellness affects my attitude and ability to do things. For a healthy heart I need to eat right, exercise, and get the right amount of rest. I also need to handle stress properly. My spiritual heart needs the same considerations. The fitness of my spiritual heart has an affect on my well being and my life too. It can even affect the lives of those around me. It affects my attitude and my ability to do things. For a healthy spiritual heart I need to eat right. Can't live with out food. So I need to take in some of Gods word every day. God's word is a good balance diet. There is body building milk, muscle building meat and more! My spiritual heart needs proper exercise. Such as prayer, walking in faith, and walking in obedience to God. As You can see God is big on the walking program. He knows how clumsy I am, and that if I was to run I would fall on my face. He never gives me a pace more than I can handle. My spiritual heart needs the right amount of rest too. There are times when I hear nothing from God, feel nothing spiritually and yet I know nothing is wrong. I have faith and trust God that all is well. I continue on with bible study and prayer. I have peace. These are times of rest. I know when rest time is over because I hear from God again, and things become spiritually alive! Words of the bible seem to leap off the pages at me! Things my pastor teaches really seems to explode with light! My spiritual heart also needs to be able to handle stress. When the storms of life hits or just small problems it must be able to cope. So for my hearts health I meditate on God's promises, on who He is, and on who I am in Him. I also take my problems to Him. It relieves stress to be able to talk about your problems. I know I can trust Him with everything. He gives great advice! I exercise a little. Prayer is a good way to calm down. Well there you have it the way to a healthy spiritual heart. This is not a formula. God doesn't hand out formulas. But this is one woman's way of life. God does guide each of us in how to live and in what's best for us. So if you want a healthy spiritual heart these are just a few ideas. Check in with God (your personal trainer) for what is right for you. Oh and before starting any new exercise routine check with your personal Physician (Jesus) too!
The scripture I am about to give is a portrait of a healthy heart. You, O Lord, are the portion of My inheritance and my cup; You maintain My lot. The lines have fallen to Me in pleasant places; Yes, I have a good inheritance. I will bless the Lord who has given Me counsel; My heart also instructs Me in the night seasons. I have set the Lord always before Me; because He is at My right hand I shall not be moved. Therefore My heart is glad, and My glory rejoices; My flesh also will rest in hope. For You will not leave My soul in sheol, nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption. You will show Me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:5-11
