Lord even though I can't sing a lick, I thank You for giving me a voice to sing with. I thank You for encouraging me to sing and for all the blessings and benefits I have received from singing. Amen

A Song About Singing

Lord what song can I offer You.

For I am in awe of all You do.

It makes my heart full beyond compare.

As I over flow with love and thanks a song fills the air.

Lord what am I going to do.

You know my worries, troubles, sorrows too.

Then You fill my heart with songs in the night.

Like a mother humming to a frighten child, You let me know things will be alright.

Lord what shall I sing.

To bring glory and honor to You my king.

You deliver me and fill me with rejoicing.

A song seems like such a humble offering.

But I will with all my heart to You my God sing.

Sing

When children are little they love to sing. Lots of  babies make little sing song type noises. But alas one day a child is told by some one that they don't sound good, or they are off key, or that they cant sing. Before you know it they stop singing. Some who cant hold a tune are encouraged by parents that love them. I think some times love has a way of  rearranging the music before it hits the ears. Any way I am one of the many people who cant sing. But I sing a lot now, and I would like to encourage everyone to sing. I know my heavenly Father loves me and He encourages me to sing. I don't see in the bible where it says, "If you got a rotten voice don't sing." As a matter a fact the bible encourages everyone to sing. The bible also gives tons of reasons to sing. Sing praises to God. Sing of your love and adoration to God. Sing of  your gratefulness. Sing when you are afraid. Sing God's word to one another. Sing when your happy. The list of reasons go on and on. It doesn't matter if  I cant sing a lick according to man's ears. God still wants me to sing and something deep within me wants me to too. So I do I sing Christian songs off and on through out my day. You know what the more I do the more Christian songs come to my mind. Could this be the Holy Spirit, God, Jesus, encouraging me to sing. Since I started singing I have had lots of old hymns come to mind. Also I have even made up a lot of songs. Like the bible says "Sing unto the Lord a new song." A lot of the new songs you have seen on these web pages. Scripture songs help me meditate on God's word. I have even gained new insights singing scriptures, and better glimpses of  God and heaven. So lift up your voice and sing! It will make you feel good, and it is pleasing to God, and the benefits are beyond counting. Sing! It is a gift from God, it is a blessing, you will be blessed. And even if you cant sing worth a lick the words you sing may be just what someone else needs to hear.

Sing to the Lord for He has triumphed gloriously! Exodus 15:21, Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone among you cheerful? Let him sing psalms. James 5:13, Serve the Lord with gladness; come before His presence with singing. Psalm 100:2, And the ransomed of the Lord shall return and come to Zion with singing, Isaiah 35:10, Speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord. Ephesians 5:19, The Lord will command His loving kindness in the daytime, and in the night His song shall be with me. Psalm 42:8
