The devil is a spin doctor watch out!

A Prayer/ Song Asking For Help

Oh Lord, the devil is trying to spin me around.

So he can cast me to the ground.

Thanks to You I can see the paths he is leading me on.

Thanks to You I now know where the lines must be drawn.

Help me hold on to You tight.

Help me do what is right.

Please don't let the devil gain any ground.

Please don't let him spin me around.

Keep my mind and heart on You.

Keep me on the path that is right and true. Amen

Spin Doctors

Spin doctors are people who can keep you distracted from the real issue. They are side tract experts. They lead you down a zillion paths that take you nowhere. The motive behind people doing this to other people, only the one doing the spinning knows. Like all things it could be for good or for bad, depending on the person doing the spinning and the situation and its out come. Now that you have an idea of what spin doctors are think who is really good at doing this. The devil. I am not saying that people who are good at spin are evil, nor are they the devil, or possessed, or anything else bad. What I am saying is that the devil is really good at spin. A lot or  most of the time he goes unnoticed or undetected, while he is doing it. Like when he gets me on the spin of  "am I doing God's will?" The only way I can stop that spin cycle is to pray and look in God's word. Or when he spins me down the path of my past. That dwelling on memories and should haves and could haves is to distract me from the path I should be focusing on. There are so many ways he distracts me or tries to distract me. Thanks be to God who never gives up on me. God is helping me to become aware of more and more of his spin tactics so I can break free of them quicker. As soon as I recognize one I have to focus back on God right away and stay focused until the devil quits. But the devil only quits long enough to get me off guard then; like an annoying little bug he starts me on another spin. the devils favorite spins are what I should have done, what I didn't do, what I could have done. Followed by a spin down the path of quilt, worry, fear, and dread. Thanks be to God I am being spun down these paths less and less. 

Nor give place to the devil Ephesians 4:27, Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:11, Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. James 4:7, Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring reviling accusation, but said, "The Lord rebuke you!" Jude 9 This last one from Jude is a good one for nipping the devil's spin tactics in the bud.
