In Jesus we are more than survivors we are conquerors. But this doesn't me we don't struggle or that we don't need to help each other along the way.

Survivors

Survivors is a television show about people trying to survive in the outback of Australia with next to nothing. While watching it I saw two groups pitted against each other. Friends with in each group pitted against individuals in a group. I saw people pitted against nature and near the end they are pitted against each other as individuals. I have seen the same kinds of things happening not only in every day life of people in the world, but in Christian lives too. Truth is if every one was a Christian, living as they should, everyone would be a survivor. Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common. Nor was there anyone among them who lacked; for all who were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the proceeds of the things that were sold, and laid them at the apostles' feet; and they distributed to each as anyone had need. Acts 4:32,34-35  I know to have this kind of mind set or life wont make me any more saved than I am. But it is good and right and imitates the Lord whom I love and want to be like. Today I don't believe God is asking us to sell our lands or homes. But if He did I would. As with all things I do I must be led by His Spirit. Romans 8:14 Acts 4:32,34-35 is asking me, how much would be willing to give, stretch, or how far would I be willing to go to help someone. I didn't say there wouldn't be a struggle, I only said we would all be survivors. And I only said that because, if the love of God was truly in us, we would help not hurt. We would forgive not harbor bitterness and ill will. We would lift each other up not tear down. We would truly love each other and share each others burdens physically or on our knees or both. Matthew 25:31-46 (feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, take in the stranger, visit the sick and those in prison). James 1:27 (visit the orphans and widows). Hebrews 12:12 (strengthen weak hands and feeble knees) The bible is full of ways to help each other survive and grow into conquerors. Romans 8:35-39 (In Jesus we are more than survivors we are conquerors.) The bottom line to living rightly with one another and helping each other is this: This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. John 15:12 And even before I can obey that one well I must first do this: You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might. Then I will better be able to: Love your neighbor as your self. Luke 10:27 Will I do any or all of these things? Yes if He calls me to do so. As to will I ? Only God knows. Can I do any or all these things? Yes because He says I can. What I do must be done because I am led by the Holy Spirit, not because I am running ahead of  God on my own. Romans 8:14
