Daily and yearly check ups with the Great Physician are very important. And so are physical yearly check ups with your regular doctor. I urge you to see your physical doctor yearly and the Great Physician often. I do and I never regret a visit.

From Despair To Hope

Oh Lord I wish all could see,

What You have done for me.

I wish they knew,

 the love and strength that is found in You.

It hurts me to see so many crying,

so many dying.

O Lord what can I do?

Except submit my life to You,

And stay on my knees and pray,

that they will find the way.

I can tell them of Your story,

Try to help them see Your glory.

I can try to help them know what's true.

In word and deed I can lead them to You.

To Your Health

I would like to urge everyone to go get their yearly physical check up. I know most women are pretty good about getting it done, because we are nurturers and care about family health. But I also know that men are not very good about it. It seems if they feel well enough to make it through a work day, they don't think they need a physical. Yearly physicals are important. They are like preventive medicine. It is far better to find out about a disease or illness early than to have it catch you off guard later. Early detection of caner and other illnesses have saved and prolonged countless lives. I was glad I went for mine yesterday; because the doctor asked about smoking, drugs, and drinking. I was able to tell her that I don't do any of those. I told her it was thanks to Jesus that not only did I not do any of those but, that thanks to Him my whole life has changed. The conversation reminded me of  what a yucky life I had and what a wonderful life I have. I told my doctor it is like getting a second chance at life, for which I am very grateful. The conversation made me think about how precious life is and my doctor agreed. People walking around with out Jesus say, "what do you mean life is wonderful and precious?!" "How can you say that with all the criminals, crimes, deceit, and disasters going on in the world!" Yes there is all that yuck. And I feel sorry for them because that is all they have. They don't have the peace, love, joy, hope, help, understanding and more in the midst of all that yuck that I have. They have no where to go and no place to turn, and no one to turn to when things get unbearable as I do. They have no one they can trust and pour out their hearts to like I do. They have no way of getting their daily and yearly spiritual check up as I do. By the way the daily and yearly spiritual check up detects disease and saves lives too. I need the great physician all the time spiritually, mentally, and physically.  Oh Lord how I wish I could get them to receive You and to give their lives into Your awesome and wonderful hands. 

How precious is Your loving kindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust in the shadow of Your wings. They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house, and You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures. For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light. Psalm 36: 7-9, But to you who fear My Name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings; and you shall go out and grow fat like stall-fed calves. Malachi 4:2, Peace I leave with you, My peace I give you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27 Fear not for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will up hold you with My righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10
