Lord help me remember to take some time each day to count my blessings and to give thanks. Amen

Thankful

Lord their is nothing more wonderful than to be with You.

Nothing thrills me more than when we walk and talk as we daily do.

Lord You are so gracious and merciful to me.

Your love and provision is more than anyone can know or see.

Lord how grateful I am for my salvation.

Oh how thankful that I live in a free nation.

All these wondrous things You have done for me.

Causes me to ask what can I do for thee?

Nothing I can do can ever repay for all You do and have done.

There is no way I can repay for God giving His son.

Please accept my humble thanks dear, Father above.

And know that it is You that Your humble servant does love.

Know

Don't it seem to go, that you don't know what you've got until it's gone. This is a line from the song, "Paved Paradise." This is true for so many things. People who take relationships for granted can relate to this. People who have taken their homes and belongings for granted know this is true too. People who have taken their freedom for granted also know this is true. This serves as a good reminder to me, to not take my relationship with God for granted. Nor the blessings that He has bestowed upon me. Nor His daily provisions. Nor my salvation, or freedom that I enjoy in Him should be taken for granted either. I could lose my relationship, my salvation, and everything at any given moment by walking away from Him. Sometimes I need to remind myself  of  some things I have taken for granted. Such as the place He is preparing for me in heaven. Or that Jesus is interceding for me daily. Or that it is He who daily provides for me through my husband, his job, and others. Or that it is He who protects us, our home and our country. Also that it is God that is the glue that holds all my relationships together. I hope I don't ever have to lose anything that I have in God, with God, or from God, to know what I have. Or to realize all that God has afforded me. I think maybe if  I take a little time to count my blessings daily this wont happen. Then I wont end up singing that line from a the song "Paved Paradise." 

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. Psalm 104:4, Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift! 2 Corinthians 9:15 Like the song says, "Give thanks with a grateful heart. Give thanks to the Holy One. Give thanks because He has given Jesus Christ His own Son. Give thanks.
