A Heart Song

Lord You are my life my all.

At Your feet I humbly fall.

When in trouble or sorrow on You I call.

My blessed savior, my friend.

My God who's love and mercy has no end.

Lord You are my joy, my everything.

You give me peace and gladness You cause my heart to sing.

I put my hand in Yours in faith and trust.

My treasure is in You where it wont fade or rust.

Daily as I seek Your face.

Keep me living in Your mercy and grace.

Something To Live For

When sorrow or depression hits sometimes people just want to give up. Some just don't want to live anymore. Especially if they lose a loved one. There is a place in psalms where the person writing it says, "who can really know your grief. Who can really understand your sorrow." It is the truth when someone is in deep sorrow or depression no-one can really know the depth of it. We are so individual that different things affect us different was. Some people are hard and can handle a lot. Some are sensitive and can't handle as much. But there is one who does know and understand us in our most deepest sorrow and depression. (God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit ) Is all knowing and see our hearts and knows us better than we know ourselves. He has great understanding for sorrow after all He gave His Son that we may live! I know that I have only had a small glimpse of myself and am in awe that He would give His Son for a wretch like me! But that is something else to talk about another time. The things is not only does God fully know our deepest sorrow, but He is right there with us in the midst of it. He in His own special time and way does all He can to heal our broken hearts and comfort us. But we have to let Him; it's the free will thing again. You can chose to accept or reject His comfort and healing touch. He reminds us that our loved ones are in His hands and we need to trust Him. He reminds us that we too are in His hands and need to trust Him. He wants to give us peace, rest, and turn our mourning into joy and more. Isaiah 61:3 Because He died for me I want to live for Him. I want God to know I appreciate the life He has given me. Because He put His love in my heart I want to live for others. By this I mean I want to live so I can comfort others, help others, and better still bring them to Jesus. John 15:12, I want to live that I may have more opportunities to serve and glorify my Heavenly Father. Romans 12:1-8 I want to live because weeping only last for a night and joy comes in the morning. Psalm30:5 Things are only dark until the light of the Lord pushes it away. I want to live and experience all the goodness of God, and enjoy all He has made. I want to live to give witness of God and His love and His goodness and might. Psalm 34:8 I want to live that my life may be a living sacrifice offered to Him every day, as a way of showing Him my love and gratitude. John 14:15 I have so much to live for! The things I mentioned are only a few!
