No matter how big life's storm I am safe in God's arms. Jesus is always there for me interceding because He cares for me. The Holy Spirit never let's me down when I need help or a guide He is always around. But none of this would be so if  I don't stop, wait, listen, trust, and obey. 

The Light

The light is lit with in me.

I pray it will shine for all the world to see.

That they may know the God of all.

Who loves and helps the big and small.

The God that never slumbers or sleeps.

The God who all His promises keeps.

The God almighty the Holy One.

 The God who cared so much He gave His son,

That we may live with Him eternally.

The one and only God who lit the light in me.

Let It Snow

From Thanksgiving until the end of  December one of my favorite sayings is "let it snow". I love cute cut out snowflakes, pictures of snow scenes, and snowmen. In reality I know how bad snow can be. It causes car accidents, physical accidents, and keeps people stuck indoors. If one is well stocked, has plenty of clothes, blankets, and other means of warmth being stuck at home is no big deal. If  one is careful in snow, dresses warm, and uses wisdom snow can be fun. Being careful, wise, and prepared is the key. Right now the big thing is Y2K. The way I feel about it is "let it snow" "Let it blow". Y2K is like some storm coming and I don't know what  it will bring. I am as prepared as one would be for a winter storm. I am wise in the fact that I put all my hope and trust in Jesus. I will be carefully listening for His voice as always. I am excited to see what 2000 will bring. I am at peace because I know who is really in control. I am giddy because I am praying come Lord Jesus and I really sincerely hope He comes soon! I don't pray it because I think the world has sunk as low as it can go. I pray Jesus come soon because I love Him. So "let it snow" "let it blow" let Y2K come my life is in His hands, my house is built on solid rock not sinking sand.

I have been young, and now am old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor His descendents begging bread. Psalm 37:25 If  I start to worry I like to read all of Psalm 37.  A couple of good songs for the new year: "On Christ the solid rock I stand" "He's got the whole world in His hands".
