A Prayer

Weave together your children Lord.

Help me live in one accord.

Give me a heart like yours to shine.

Help me draw others close to thine.

Never let me turn away from anyone any day.

But cause me to love and do your will.

To show others that you love them still.

Talk Of The Town

When I was growing up people would go visit each other to catch up on the latest news. Sometimes people would chat over their back fences. Although we had a telephone people preferred to talk face to face. Some people hung out at the local family run store or went to the soda shop to visit. Where ever people visited in my little town they usually talked about the latest goings on. It could be about a new building, fixing the town bridge, what the neighbors were doing, or just about anything. Lately with the Y2K thing people all over the world had a conversation opener. Like all man made things Y2K as a conversation opener will pass away. I have a conversation opener that will never pass away it is Jesus, and what He has done for me, and what He can do for others. Y2K brought people together through conversation and a shared interest about what would happen, and what to do. I have a great interest in what will happen in the future, and what to do about future events. God's word tells me a lot about the future and what I should be doing. Long after Y2K conversation is gone talk of  God, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit will go on. Life, love, freedom, hope, everything of interest and then some is in God's hands. I hope through Jesus, and conversations about Jesus  people will continued to be drawn together. Because under God their should be no you or me, their should be just us a family, God's children.

See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, Ephesians 5:15-19  Let brotherly love continue. Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels. Remember the prisoners as if chained with them- those who are mistreated- since you yourselves are in the body also. Hebrews 13:1-3
