Prayer For The Journey

Lord I am headed home to you.

Help me to bring others too.

Thank You for being with us on our journey home.

Continue to guide our feet so we don't roam.

Thank You for all that you provide.

For our food, water, and The holy Spirit our guide.

Please don't let us stray.

Thank You for going with us each day.

Help sisters and brothers love each other as they walk side by side.

Help us not to be separated by sin or pride.

Thank You for your love that paved the way.

Now on the path home help us to stay.

Road Trip

My husband and I went on a mini road trip for our anniversary. When we go on road trips big or small, there is lots of planning or preparation to do. We take clothes, some food, the car is made ready (with fuel, oil, etcetera) we take credit cards, money, maps, and something to drink sodas and water. I am on a big journey everyday, I am bound for heaven. There is a lot of preparing I should be doing. I need to pack my armor ( Ephesians 6:11-18), my bread (John 6:48), my food (John 4:34) and (Matthew 4:4), my water (John 4:14). I need to make my vehicle ready (Galatians 5:24, Romans 12:2, John 3:3-8), fueled (Acts 1:5, Acts 2:4), oiled (Matthew 25:4, Psalm 133) clean (1 John 1:7). I won't take credit cards or money because I have Jesus who paid the price for me, Also I am wealthy I have a mansion, a Father who is a great provider, and a pearl of great price. (1 Corinthians 6:20,7:23, John 14:2, Philippians 4:19, Matthew 13:46). As for my map I have the Bible, The Holy Spirit, and Jesus to guide me. (John 14:6). I also take something to drink besides water (Ephesians 5:18). This is only a little of  the preparation that goes on. As I spend time with Jesus I am sure there will be more.
