To see God I need the Holy Spirit to magnify Him, and my eyes of faith to focus on Him.

I Can See You Lord!

Lord I see You in a child when they share.

Lord I see You in a bothers when each others burdens they bare.

Lord I see You in my sisters who comfort me when I cry.

Lord I can see You in the midst of  struggles as I try.

Lord I see You reaching out to others all around.

Lord I see You in their words and deeds you are found.

Lord I see with the eyes of my faith and my heart.

Lord I never really saw You like this before.

I know it's because of the Holy Spirit that each day I see more.

Thank you Lord for my sight.

Thank you Lord helping me each day to see the light.

The Eyes Have It

My physical eyes have a hard time seeing things at a distance so I have to wear glasses. Also the have trouble reading books, so I have reading glasses too. Some times I go through spurts where I wear them all the time as I am suppose to. But sometimes pride makes me not wear them, because I don't like the way I look in them. For me contacts are out of the question. Spiritually I use to have an eye problem. There would be times when I couldn't see God. This would really discourage me when I couldn't feel Him or hear Him either. God has corrected this particular eye problem. The Holy Spirit is like a pair of spiritual glasses to me. He really does magnify God and Jesus! Like if I don't hear or feel God I can still see God through the Holy Spirit. Here's some ways the Holy Spirit helps me see God: He helps me see God as I pray, sometimes as a King, sometimes as someone to awesome for words, sometimes as a Father and more. He shows me who God is, what He is like, what He does, and more in the bible. He reminds me of who God is and what He does in songs of praise. Sometimes as the Holy Spirit strengthens my faith I see God with eyes of faith. Like when someone says I can't see God in all this mess. I can see God He is reaching out to comfort others. By the words and deeds of  His children, His vessels, we are His hands, speaking His words. In the midst of  loneliness, tragedy, sorrow, suffering, pain, whatever I have never seen a person that did not get touched by another person sooner or later. God always seems to know when we are ready and able to receive that touch. And I wear my spiritual glasses I will see Him in it. Even as bad things are happening I see God's strong hand holding on to me so that I can make it to a place where He can offer help and comfort. Even if  I were dieing I know now I would see Him there, in control holding everything together, safely bringing me home. I see God sending people with food, to the hungry. I see God speaking comfort to the sorrowful, I see Him healing the hurt and broken hearted, I see Him setting captives free. See Him.
