I want more, more, more, of You Lord and Less, less, less, of me. I want the Holy Spirit to fill me to the core, core, core. Use me God, work through me!
A Prayer And A Plea
Lord Help me not to grow cold.
Fill me with the Holy Spirit that I may be bold.
Use me to spread the best news ever told.
Command me and help me obey.
Work through me don't let me get in the way.
Guide me and teach me Holy Spirit I pray.
You are everything.
I am but a vessel of the king.
May I always be in Your hands.
Used by you even when no one understands.
I pray I will always do Your will, and fulfill all Your plans.
Lord over me have perfect sway.
Help me hear the Holy Spirit and obey.
Don't let me take a step without You today.
Cold Hands Warm Heart
It seems that most the time in the winter my hands and feet stay very cold. So I like to put on my big white fluffy bath robe and my big fluffy slippers, sit down and wrap my fingers around a cup of hot coffee. It is a very funny sight, because I look like a polar bear with frost bitten feet! So sometimes I laugh when I think of how I look. Laughter seems to warm my heart by making me feel sunny inside. When my husband takes my hand or people shake hands with me they always seem to notice that they're cold. On the other hand people have called me warm hearted and up lifting. On the spiritual side I get cold hands and feet when I think God is calling me to something. Sometimes when I am asked to lay hands on someone and pray my mind goes blank and I get cold feet about it. I am so afraid I wont have anything to pray because my mind went blank. Now I see that it is good my mind goes blank, because it means I have to depend on the Holy Spirit to give me what to pray (pray through me). My prayers are not my own they are His. Who better knows what to pray than the Holy Spirit. He has never let me down He has always given me something to pray. I should never be fearful about what He gives me to pray, because He sees inwardly while I only see outwardly. When I am full of the Holy Spirit and obedient to Him it makes me very happy, peaceful, and contented. That makes my heart feel so warm and full I could burst. When I pray in tongues I should never be fearful about what I say either, for I have put all of me in His hands and I trust Him that nothing wrong will come out my mouth. I see now if God calls me to something and I get cold feet about it, I should immediately surrender to Him and let Him have His way. I should also remind myself that I am the vessel not the user of the vessel. Even my contents are not me, but rather my content is the Holy Spirit.
And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, Ephesians 5:18 , For it is not you who speak but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you. Matthew 10:20, Likewise the Spirit helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Holy Spirit Himself makes intercessions for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. Romans 8:26-27, And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Ephesians 4:30
