What do I want? Today's wants may change as I grow in Jesus. Priorities of my wants may change as I grow in Jesus. One thing I pray they will always be in line with His will.

Want

What can I want more than You O Lord who gives me life and light.

What could I ever desire more than being with You day and night.

What sound could I ever want more than to hear Your voice.

What could I ever want to do more than the deeds of Your choice.

I want You, and to do Your will is all that thrills my soul.

I want You, and for You alone to fill my soul and make me whole.

I want You and to be more like You each day.

I want You and I want to always obey.

I want You.

I love You too.

What Do You Want?

Every day the question comes up, What do you want? I ask myself what do you want to make for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, what do you want to get done today, what do you want to wear? I also ask God: what do you want me to write about today, what do you want me to do today? Today I realize that God asks me the same thing. It's as if  I am following Him and He turns around and says "What do you want"? I stopped and asked myself what do I want. I want to be with Jesus. I want to listen to Him and learn from Him. I want to obey God. I want to be filled with the Holy Spirit. I want to be free from sin. I want good health. I want to be a good wife. I want to help others. It's easy to rattle off those wants. But what is my deepest aching want? For me it would be to praise and worship with my brothers and sisters and not have to stop ever. It would be to be like Jesus all the time. It would be to show God I really love Him by obeying all His commands. Can any of the wants ever be fulfilled? I believe they can because they are in Jesus. In Jesus is hope, Faith, For-all-I-trust-Him. Some I may see happen while I am yet here in this vessel of skin. Others I may not see until I am in heaven with Him. But I do know that as long as my wants are in line with His they will come about. Some things I don't: A new husband or romance because God has given me the perfect mate. Something I don't want is more money because, it will only lead to the want for more, and to get more money it takes more stress. I don't want more things because, the Lord has blessed us so much we can hardly find space for what we have. Also more money or things wouldn't make me any happier, God has blessed me with plenty of happiness and then some. I don't want a huge house Because, size doesn't make a house a home. A huge home only means more head aches. What I do want bottom line is what God wants for me because He knows what's best. What I do want more than anything is Him.

The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want. Psalm 23:1, Then Jesus turned, and seeing them following, said to them, "What do you seek?" Part of John 1:38, You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures. James 4:3, And whatever you ask in My Name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My Name, I will do it. If  you love Me, keep My commandments. John 14:13-15  Walk in then: walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Galatians 5:16
