God has me in His circle of love when I keep everyone (friend or foe) in that circle with me the devil has no ground in me to fight on. This is one way to not give place or a foot hold to the devil.
Asking God In Daily
Lord fill this temple You have given me.
Let Your love fill my heart, soul, mind, and body.
No matter how people treat me or speak to me.
Let only goodness, mercy, and kindness be the response they receive.
Help my mind to stay on what's good, right, and pure.
Keep my whole being filled with Your praise ever more.
Over my life Lord have perfect sway.
That others may know You and see You in me each day.
Truth Or Consequences
Truth or consequences was a fun show that I watched as a child. On the show if the truth was told all was ok, but if a lie then they suffered the consequence which could be a pie in the face. As a child if I told the truth all went well and if I lied I suffered the consequence which would be a spanking. The devil plays games with the truth and with lies and he knows the consequences of both. The devil's aim is to get us to sin and that consequence is death. But there are other consequences the devil strives for too, like ruined relationships, doubting God, others, and ourselves, and confusion. All of these produce destruction of some sort and these are only a few. Here is an example: My husband may tell me something and the devil may come along and say "why did your husband say that?" and "Why did he use that tone of voice?" or "what did your husband mean by that?" Then the devil will start feeding me his lie "Your husband should speak to you in that tone you haven't done anything". Or "Your husband is sending you a mixed message you better read between the lines." The devil will do this until I buy the lie and totally mistake what my husband said. This can lead to hurt or anger on my part and eventually cause trouble between me and my husband. The devil uses these tactics between parents and children, between friends, between people who work together, between bosses and employees, people and their ageing parents, nations, diplomats, and on and on. How can I fight these tactics? By obeying God which means loving others as He does, and like in 1 Corinthians 13, by loving my enemies and doing good to those who persecute me. By doing unto others as I would have them do unto me. I would want others to think good of me and not evil, I would want others to chose to think I meant good not evil. By not being so quickly offended or angered and by being quick to forgive. I can fight by seeking the truth from the source in a calm loving way. If I go over and over something in my head for to long it usually gets distorted.
Devil tactic in garden of Eden Genesis 3:1-6, He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. John 8:44, Does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 1 Corinthians 13:5-7 I highly recommend reading the whole chapter it's all good ammo against the devils tactics. I also recommend Ephesians 6:10-18 It is about putting on the armor I wouldn't want to get caught trying to fight the devil with out it.
