The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. It is also the beginning of the victory over satan in my life.

An Awesome God And An Itty Bitty Servant

God I can not fully see Your Glory.

Nor can I fully comprehend Your awesomeness.

Your beyond what can be told by any story.

Yet You have chosen this little speck to bless.

You have given me a free will and I know Your love.

I fear You and honor You and place no one else above.

When I do wrong I fear You Lord and cry out for mercy I'm distressed.

When I do right and am forgiven by You Oh how I feel loved and blessed.

May the fear of You truly produce wisdom in me and strengthen me against sin.

May my love for You always be where we meet again and again.

As I come in humble obedience to you, come Lord I'm asking You in.

No Fear

I have seen tee shirts around with the logo No Fear on them. I still don't know what that is about. It seems lot's of things are around to desensitize us to fear. Movies about ghost, witches, death, and more. Satan would love for us to lose our fear of  death, the consequence of sin, and our fear of  God. He knows that with out those fears he wouldn't have to work so hard to destroy us we would do it ourselves. Not only that but we would destroy each other as well. Example no fear of consequence, or death, or God child shoots child. The absence of  these fears brings about no thought of or respect for life, which also opens the door for destruction. Example abortion, suicide, killing of  the elderly. But all of this is out in the open where it is seen and recognized by Christians as bad. What isn't noticed so much is that some of us lack the fear of God that is the beginning of wisdom. A Christian friend of mine has gone back to their old life style of sin after having know God and His stand that the wages of sin is death. That was not enough fear to keep my friend from leaving. Christian leaders who have done things in secret and later gotten caught. Did they think He couldn't see them. Had they no fear of God? Or of  the wages of sin? In the bible people who came to God in repentance fell on their face in fear before God? Have I lost the fear of God's wrath? God has been made so loving and forgiving in our eyes that we don't have as much fear of His wrath as people once did. I want that fear if  I had it maybe I wouldn't fall into sin so quickly. Maybe I would treat others better because I would be afraid of  God's vengeance, or the coals they were heaping on my head. This is not a mindless fear I seek, but a healthy respectful fear I seek. If  I have it maybe it will show and I'll seem different and the world will know that there is one true God. Maybe someone will wake up and become afraid and turn to Him and live. Sure He gives us peace and a sound mind when we obey and are His. Sure He doesn't give us a spirit of fear when we are in Him. But when we are not His or are not in Him then be afraid very afraid.

And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both the body and soul in hell. Matthew 10:28,(this means God) That you may fear the Lord your God and keep all His statues and commandments... Deuteronomy 6:2, Oh fear the Lord you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him. Psalm 34:9 An oracle within my heart concerning the transgression of the wicked: There is no fear of God before his eyes. Psalm 36:1,(the rest of psalm 36 tells about one who lacks fear of  God  for more reading) Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and depart from evil. Proverbs 3:7, Here are two more good scriptures about the benefits of fearing God  Hebrews 5:7 , Acts 9: 31
