I pray I never take God or anything about Him or what He has done and is doing for granted. I that He is always at the heart and center of my being and then some! Lord let my ears never grow dull when it comes to hearing You. Make me always quick to obey You. Help me to draw as near to you as I can get. Help me to reflect as much of  You as is possible. Amen

Me Loving On God

Lord Your the wind beneath my wings.

Your not someone who in the back ground sings.

You are at the front and center of my heart.

Lord help me to always keep you on the throne,

I want to worship You and only You alone.

No other God's before You.

I want to hear Your voice that I may obey and be true.

You are God You spoke all things into being.

You are God all knowing and all seeing.

Fill me afresh with Your Life and Light.

That all may be drawn to truth and what's right.

God You are my God my Lord my king.

Unto You I humbly bring everything.

With a heart of  thanksgiving and love to You I sing.

You are my God, You are my Lord.

Come wound me and heal me with Your sword.

I am Yours totally.

Come Lord have Your way with me.

Listening

When I get up in the morning I turn on the television because I like back ground noise while I cook breakfast. So I usually put on America movie classics (A.M.C.) or I put on Turner movie classics (T.C.M.) because the old movies are usually soft and mellow at that time of day. Which makes the good back ground noise because, they don't wake me up while I cook and they don't distract me. I really like the old movies so when I am done cooking I usually sit and watch the rest of the movie, drink my coffee and do my crossword puzzle. These to channels are the ones I watch the most through out the day because they don't distract me while I do house work and, when lunch time and dinner time rolls around they usually have something on I like to watch that's relaxing. Sometimes I put christian music on during the day. Everything from hymns to christian rap with a wide variety of  christian music styles in-between. I like to do that because some music is good for giving me energy for house work. And some music let's me work with out distraction. But no matter what I have for back ground noise like that old commercial says" when E. F. Hutton talks everybody listens". Well when God talks with my whole body, being I listen. It usually starts out with me talking to Him about things I am doing or something that is working on my mind. I chat at Him or to Him off and on all day. He usually talks to me through bible study, prayer time, a phone call from a friend, my thoughts, my heart, nature as I garden or look out the window, through movies, music, my husband, and a host of other ways. I don't want Him to be back ground noise ever. So I must train my eyes, ears, mind, heart, soul, being, all of  what is called me to be attentive always alert and listening for Him. I must train myself to recognize His voice. This comes with faith and practice. Listening being quick to obey stepping out in faith even if  I fall flat on my face and look stupid. I don't want to be like in Amos 4:6-11 where God spoke to Israel in many different was and they didn't listen as if He was back ground noise. In verse 12 of the same chapter it says "Prepare to meet Your God, O Israel!" How scary to meet Your maker Your God after not listening to Him! Lord have mercy on me! Not only help me hear but help me obey! Amen.

Stop (humble your selves in the sight of the Lord and He will lift you up. James 4:10, Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord! Psalm 27:14) Look (Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2, Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Matthew 26:41) Listen ( But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My Name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. John14:26, Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts. Hebrews 4:7)
