How does God express Himself? How does God communicate with me? Through people, His creations, through events in my life, through good Godly thoughts, through His word the bible, through the Holy Spirit, through Jesus, through trails and errors in my life, through my husband, friends, and every now and then I realize another new way. The more I open up to Him the more ways I hear and see Him.
Wanting To Be Used By God
Lord I want to be Your hand,
Touching with love and helping my fellow man.
Lord I want to be Your voice,
Guiding people helping the to make the right choice.
Lord I want to be Your heart,
Showing care and compassion when others are torn apart.
Lord I want to be Your feet,
Looking for the lost in every place on every street.
But Lord I'm not You and can never be,
But You O Lord can express and communicate all things through me.
For here I stand,
Your willing vessel waiting for Your command.
Expressions Communications
My husband and I are pretty good at expressing ourselves and communicating with each other. I know by his facial expressions how he is feeling and what his mind is on the topic at hand. When we communicate through words we say what we mean. Expression and communication is pretty easy with someone I love and trust. Some times with my friends it's a little harder because they don't know me as well as my husband does. I have to tell them sometimes if I am joking. Sometimes I have to tell them "No I am not crying because I am sad I am crying because, I am over whelmed by the presence of God". With strangers expression and communication takes more thought and work because I am making a first impression. Strangers don't know me and many a time I have been miss understood. There are those in my church who over the years have become such close brothers and sisters that they know me very well; just as if they were with me from childhood on .Expressing myself with them and communicating with them is pretty easy again it has a lot to do with love and trust. I love God and trust Him and the longer I am with Him the better the flow of expression and communication between us becomes. Except some times I have trouble expressing the depth of my love and gratitude toward Him because there is no words to express it. Then I have to rely on the Holy Spirit to help me. More and More I am hearing and seeing God's expressions and ways of communicating that always slipped by me before. For so long I heard Him just in my heart and in my thoughts. But now I know He expresses His self and communicates through people, things He created, events in my life, and so many different ways. I know God uses me sometimes to express Himself and communicate. Yet I know He doesn't need me to do that or to do anything He wants done. He died for me saving me for no apparent reason, I certainly wasn't worthy of what He did for me. Yet I know He has a plan for my life. Maybe part of that plan is to express His love, mercy, and grace. To communicate His compassion, wisdom, and understanding. I do believe that the more I spend time with Him, the more I become like Him, the more I learn His ways. This makes me more useable by Him to express Himself to others through me and to use me to communicate to others who He is, what He is like, and what He is saying. I believe the prayer that Jesus prayed for His disciples and for all believers in JOHN 17:6-26 Was that we would express and communicate not only who God is, but what His will is, and how He feels towards us. This prayer says a lot more than this but I wanted to site this one as a key that opened me up to let God express and communicate Himself through me. I don't mean I am anyone special. I am a worm but even a worm has a job. It's job is to soften the soil and enrich it.
Most assuredly, I say unto you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My Name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. John 14:12-13, To reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the gentiles, Galatians 1:16, However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. John 16:13-14
