I want to be more like Jesus. He doesn't just show love and care in a big way and in big things in my life only. He show His love and care in the little things too.  

Thanks And Prayer Song

Thank You Lord for all Your care.

Thank You for the answers to prayer.

Thank You for the things You do.

Even before I ask You to.

Thank You for caring about the little things that means so much to me.

Things I felt were to small to bring to thee.

Now that I have given thanks to You.

Fill me with Your love that I may do as You do.

Help me to have a thoughtful heart.

That to others love, caring, and joy I may impart.

Help me to show others You care about things big and small.

That it doesn't matter what the size to You they can bring it all.

Help us all to be aware.

That we may remember to thank You and all who show they love and care.

The Little Things

I have heard it said that even the little things people do matters. I have also heard that even little details can make a difference. I have heard little things can me a lot. It's not that big things don't take much work, or are unimportant, or don't mean anything. I think the reason little things mean so much is because they are not as obvious, they take a little more thoughtfulness, and are usually a little more personal. They to me show an extra touch of personal care. Sometimes little things make me feel warm and welcome and cared about. Little things sometimes come in the form of  someone getting my favorite coffee at Star Bucks, or inviting me to lunch, or sending me an I am thinking of  you card. Some are very personal like when I see someone crying and I hug them and tell them I love them. The list could go on for ever. Sometimes little things go unnoticed. It doesn't matter to me if  I do things little or big and no one says thank you or pats me on the back. But it does bother me if  I don't take notice and thank others when they do something for me. I believe God's word "But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly." Matthew 6:3-4. But it is not a reward from God that motivates me to do the little things that mean so much; it is the love of God that is in me. He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no stumbling in him. 1 John 2:10. Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ. 1 Corinthians 11:1. I know God care about the little things as well as the big things in life. He has proved that to me a many a time. To the point where even today I have no trouble going to Him with prayers like, "Lord please make this recipe come out right." or " Lord where did I put my  eye glasses?" or "Lord watch over our cat while we are on vacation." The list of little things I bring to the Lord could go on for ever. He has showed me no matter how little or how big I should be "Casting all my cares upon Him, For He cares for me. 1 Peter 5:7 God cares about every little detail of my life. He knows all about me and what is best for me. "Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from Your Father's will.  But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows." Matthew 10:29-31. He has taught me a lot about caring. And I know He will continue to teach me more about it. I pray that as I learn from His examples towards me; that I don't forget or neglect to thank Him for all the little things He does for me. I also pray that I will follow His examples showering love and care on others in return. I pray I will have a loving, thoughtful, caring heart that blesses others in the little things as well as the big. Amen.
