God's word is more than a comfort, a love letter, or a road map. It is An open door to daily communication with Him, it is a weapon, it is a tool, and more. Who can really say all that God's word is? It is alive and it doesn't come back to Him void! A day with out God's word empty. Gotcha! You thought I was going to say like a day with out sunshine didn't you? Well it is that too like a day with out Son shine.

A Song About The Bible

Lord don't let Your words fall dead in me.

Cause them to become alive for everyone to see.

Help me to remember that word is a lamp unto my feet.

Help me to offer that light and hope to everyone I meet.

Don't let me for get Your instructions and their power.

Help me to remember them in my darkest hour.

I know the bible is not just mere words You have given me.

I know it is for help and hope and a way for me to see.

Through You Lord and God's word the door has been flung open.

On You Lord and God's word my heart my heart keeps hoping.

All I need is You.

All I want is in You too.

I love, believe, and trust You Lord. I Give thanks to You.

There is no one like You Lord Your every word is true.

I pray I obey You Lord in everything I say or do.

I pray Your words will abide in me, and that I abide in You.

Lion Tamer

I would really like to go to a circus some day. I like to watch circuses on television. I like to watch the trapeze artist, the lion tamers the best. God is training me to be a lion tamer. The bible says, "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom He may devour." 1 Peter 5:8 So as I grow in Jesus and study His word He teaches me about my adversary and what to do to defeat (tame) him. But my adversary is not alone. Just like in life lions roam around in prides (groups) so does that old lion the devil. His pride (group) is my mind, my flesh, demons and sometimes he can even use other people. One thing he has taught me is don't be afraid of the lion or his pride (group). For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7  He has taught me to not try to tame the lion or his pride (group) with out protection. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:11 He has also reassured me that I will never be alone during my encounters with the lion and his pride (group). "I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Matthew 28:20  He has taught me when I need help taming that nasty old lion and his pride (group) all I have to do is call out to Him. "Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know." Jeremiah 33:3 He has also made it clear that I really shouldn't try to face that nasty old lion and his pride (group) by my self. "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and  I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing." John 15:5  He has also taught me not to get discouraged when I get hurt. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Psalm 30:5 And that I can even encourage my self by saying, Why are you so cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; for I shall yet praise Him, the help of my countenance and my God. Psalm 42:11 Yes God has and is teaching me a lot about handling that nasty old lion and his pride (group). God can teach me a lot of things but it wont do me any good if  I don't apply it. Ignorance is no excuse for me, and neither is weakness, lack of wisdom, or any other excuse I try to use. Because I can call on Him, seek wisdom from Him, He teaches me everything I need to know, I can even draw strength from Him. So, what excuse have I for not taming that nasty old lion and his pride (group)? Or what excuse have I for not trying to tame them?
